    Tristar L120 Review.

If the smaller size doesn't impact the gun in a noticeable way, I'll probably lean towards the C100. Ideally I would get to handle or even shoot both, but that doesn't seem likely. I'll probably try to handle a compact CZ75, I figure as long as I can get my hands completely on the grip I'll go...

    Tristar L120 Review.

I'm really interested in either the L120 or the C100. The gun would serve as a sort of all-around pistol; mainly as a house gun, but maybe with the chance of being carried at some point in the future. Kiln, since you own both the C100 and the L120, maybe you can give me some insight as to the...

    What's wrong with a Taurus

I don't own a taurus gun, but in my very small gun club, I've seen two taurus pistols with serious problems, one of which was a revolver. I would buy a taurus if it was cheap, to use as a fun gun at the range, but that's all. I would never count on one as a defensive weapon.

    czeckpoint revolvers

I just noticed today that czechpoint firearms, who imports the VZ-58 carbine and skorpion pistols, is importing revolvers. http://www.czechpoint-usa.com/products/revolvers/ I assume these revolvers are Czech, does anyone know anything about them?

    Pocket knives - Chinese?

That said there are some great american made knives that are also very affordable. The Kershaw Skyline and the Buck vantage for example. I love my skyline, and it was only about $25.

    Pocket knives - Chinese?

I was going to post the same thing as MP7 apparently Sanrenmu contracts with Buck and Spyderco to produce their chinese made knives. they also have their own line that's only marketed in China, but you can buy them online if you know where to look. The quality is the same as the byrd line, but...

SHOT Day 4 - Chiappa Rhino (Yeah, I'm late with this.)

I'm also pretty excited by the concept of the rhino, although I'm not really a fan of the crazy cocking/trigger system. there's a good writeup here: http://gunnuts.net/2011/01/24/chiappa-rhino/ and a really detailed writeup of the inner working by Grant Cunningham here...

    Glock Announcement?

I've also been hearing rumors that it's a carbine, but I doubt it I'd be willing to be it's either just a glock 17 with "25th anniversary" stamped on it, or an announcement about the next pistols to get the gen 4 treatment. still I'd like confirmation

Navy tests "Rail Gun" in VA

yup. another advantage, besides the high velocity, is that the velocity can be tuned to get an ideal trajectory. The downsides are a slow rate of fire, the rail wear out quickly, and the capacitors that power the thing take up a whole lot of space. you could easily get the same range using a...

    My age group...

I ran into a group of guys at the range today almost exactly like the OP described. they were doing things like dumping mags at water bottles 10 yards away (and missing), using shooting positions like "standing on top of the bench," and talking about how their friend got in trouble for "filing...
