OP: I think I've bought the same ammo recently, the Rem Golden Sabre 38+P 125gr Brass jacketed HP's. I've also bought a 'new' Rossi 351 .38. The manual was updated 4/01, and I don't have a way to tell when the gun was manufactured but I assume it was fairly recently (last 8 years). It does not...

Remember not to place any ammo in the gun case.
If this is your personal preference, please say so. As stated above, TSA rules address this and allow it. I have always packed my ammo with my revolver and have flown through DFW, ATL, HPN, FLL, and BDL. Never had any issues at all.
