Go with the Savage hands down. Accuracy right out of the box. Don't worry about the accutrigger. Sharp Shooter Supply offers a competition trigger for less than $100 that out performs the accutrigger. Savage rifles are easy to work on yourself and barrel swap is a very simple task.

That Samson rail system looks very nice. Same company that makes the rail hand guard for the Stag Arms 2T. Very solid piece.

I like the way you cleaned up the metal rather than refinished it. Makes it look more rough and ruggid like an AK should.

I dont really think the AK is accurate enough for any kind of optic. Bareback it.

My dads 220 Swift will put one bullet after another in the same hole with good hand loads. I told him he was full of it until he showed me one day. I stood corrected. LOL

I got to meet John Plaster last year at the NRA convention. He is a really cool guy. I wish I had his book.
