Vltor CASV FAL Long Handguard Doesn't Fit!

I don't know what H1 stands for but it's stamped on the barrel. It's not a heavy barrel as far as I can tell, it's just a standard barrel. It fits over the barrel, just not inside the rear hand guard ring. Who told you I was a mall ninja? :scrutiny:

Vltor CASV FAL Long Handguard Doesn't Fit!

They won't fit inside the hand guard slot on the receiver. I just paid a bunch of money for this thing and it doesn't fit! I have an H1 barrel. I know they say it doesn't fit the G1 barrel profile so it isn't that. Anyone else have this problem? Solutions? Please help!

My experience as a juror in a home invasion robbery

Not really, when I heard how many charges there were and as the evidence piled up against them I figured she would get a long time and he would probably spend the rest of his life in prison. I take a practical view towards it: if they're guilty, they're guilty, if they're not, they're not...

My experience as a juror in a home invasion robbery

We had no problems with Vanna's (the female lookout) charges, guilty on every count. The first obstacle we had to overcome as a jury is to decide whether or not to accept the defense's case. They argued that there were 3 men not 2 and it was this third man who raped the wife and not him. There...

My experience as a juror in a home invasion robbery

The safe was not mentioned very much at all, that is to say that the homeowner testified that was what the robbers were after and that he did not have one and that was it. Here's what I speculate though: the homeowner, his wife, all 3 tenants and the mastermind Tommy are all Vietnamese. They...

My experience as a juror in a home invasion robbery

Reposted from General Discussions: One day about a year ago I got notice for jury duty and groaned thinking how can it be a year already! They get me every year it seems. So I go in and sit in the lounge and my name gets called. I almost always get rejected because I work in a law office, my...

    How were your firearms stolen?

I was just 10 years old when it happened. All of firearms mysteriously disappeared when we moved. No real monetary value, 2 .22 bolt action rifles and a beat up Mauser. But they were my late grandfather's, so they had a lot of sentimental value. Be careful when you move guys. Moving men are...

Chance for CCW in San Diego with election of a new Sheriff

Yup, San Diego County. La Suer is a conservative and Duffy is a bit more moderate but both are pro-ccw. Whichever your grandma feels is more appropriate would be just fine. :)

Chance for CCW in San Diego with election of a new Sheriff

Issuing of CCW permits in CA is done by the local county sheriff. The current sheriff, Bill Gore, will not issue permits for any reason. However, the opposing candidates are PRO-CCW. Jay La Suer more so than Jim Duffy. I like La Suer better than Duffy, he is on record as being pro-ccw. Duffy...

Ready to buy my first gun

If you like the Browning BAR Longtrac, I would also look at the Benelli R1. Same sort of style, but a little nicer/more expensive. Also, to echo what others have said: don't use this gun for home defense. You'll probably want to start a new thread for that. Although I might as well throw in...

Ready to buy my first gun

Well, if you're willing to save I'd say the Springfield Armory National Match M1A is right up your alley. If you do this though expect to pay about $3000 for rifle(2300), mount(100) and scope(500+). Also, match ammo isn't cheap, anywhere from $25-35 for a box of 20. Don't cheap out on the...

Ready to buy my first gun

You're never going to fit that criteria for $1000, however given what you've said I think that a M1 Garand would fit the bill nicely. Maybe not accurate to 500 yards, but it'll go the distance. Go to your local gun stores and gun shows and see what they have. You can usually haggle with the...

Have you lost guns in theft or fire?

My Grandfather's guns were stolen by movers about 20 years ago. Nothing that great: a single-shot .22, a .22 repeater, and a beat up Mauser. Still, they had a lot of sentimental value because he died before I was born so it was all we had left from him really.
