I have used the Aholster brand IWB holsters for years now. Mostly for the G23, however, now I'm carrying a G26 in the same brand holster, very comfortable, minimal in size and great retention. Everyone has their own tastes, I'd go with the G26 over the Ruger.
Very nice gun..Great deal. too. I've been wanting a 14 for awhile..In the early Adam 12 series, Malloy and Reed carried the 14, I believe it was the LAPD standard back then. Great shooting revolver..
A couple years ago there were several 19's with 6" barrels for sale around here. Now they are very scarce..A buddy almost traded one to me, a 19-3, but changed his mind. I can't blame him. They seem to be a hot item now. Is it like this in other parts of the country?
The 1911's I own are Colts and a Kimber. But I've been around a few Rugers and wouldn't hesitate to get one if the price is right. I'm a right hander and don't particularly care for the ambi safety on the Colt, but since you're a lefty, I see the attraction.
Had an 84B once, a buddy has it now. Great shooting pistol, not the smallest .380 around, but accurate, reliable and packs 13 rounds. I'd take it back in a heartbeat, but his terms are too high right now.. enjoy yours, it's a great gun.
Just wondering about it's worth as being GI surplus. It will be shot. The trade I made puts it at 35 cents a round. I can live with that. Thanks for the comments.
I just traded into some GI ball .45 ammo, new in the boxes. It's Olin with 72 headstamp. Just wondering if anyone knows the value of this now. I haven't seen any GI ammo for sale in awhile, nor can I find any online. Just wondering, thanks.
