Gun safety as we know it didn't always exist. I try to use impeccable safety habits with my personal firearm use but I don't buy into this current, almost weird obsession with calling out safety violations that people see online. If I'm not there being personally affected then I really don't care.
A tourniquet is really about all that makes sense to carry on a regular basis unless it's in a bag or attached to mil/le gear. A TQ is always a good thing to have nearby for a multitude of possible injuries aside from gunshot wounds.
There are people who live in parts of the world that are far more dangerous than here and they aren't allowed to carry weapons. They don't survive by staring people in the eyes. They slip through life as invisible as possible hoping not to be singled out.
There is a lesson here. Meeting...
Red dot sights are the "cheat code" and people shooter further, faster, and more accurately.
When criminals catch on they're going to to up a few notches in their lethality.
They already have control. We grumble and complain but at the end of the day we comply. When we aren't allowed to own certain weapons or accessories in certain states we comply, just like people have from the very beginning in the 30s when laws were passed.

I caution people against automatic adjustments for law enforcement particularly because of the possibility of shooting from a dark place into a light one and vice versa. The dot won't adjust properly. It seems perfect until you try shooting from a light room into a dark one.
They are absolutely the way to go now however they may not be optimal for every situation and there is a learning curve.
They are faster than irons at both close range and distance, the precision ability is way superior, and the ability to be targeted focused is a significant advantage.

There are people who make so much money that the price tag for anything but the most expensive real estate or a yacht is basically meaningless to them.
Yes sir, you are correct. It's a great too for some environments like prison for example, not so good in others. And yes some types can be very flammable which is why law enforcement won't taze someone who's been sprayed.
One would be in a world of hurt if they end up with eyes full of OC and suddenly they need to shoot someone they can't see. I'd be extremely reluctant to use it while carrying a firearm.
