    Beretta 84fs owners

I have a 2007 manufactured bought in 2008 and the extractor has .004 play all the way down from top of the slide down it has no play in the direction of extraction. I hope this answers your question. The weapon is new in the box never fired.

    glock 36 vs xd45 compact

I carry a Colt Defender. It fits my hand better than some of the other pistols. It also gives me the choice of doing away with the finger groves that do not fit my fingers for standard grips. Have a nice day and a wonderful week.

    Arched or Flat?

I have noticed on new Colts from the factory that the long trigger comes with the humped mainspring housing and the short trigger comes with the flat housing. The only thing I have done to the factory Colts were to remove the plastic mainspring housing and use a steel housing of the same...

Kimber Stainless 2 vs Colt ...............

Lunga Bunga I would do like g5reality suggests and enjoy your weapon to the fullest. I prefer the 7 round colt magazines but you have to shot your weapon for a while to learn it and see what how it will preform. I have not had a Kimber do me wrong. Enjoy your new Kimber. Oh yes that is why...

Kimber Stainless 2 vs Colt ...............

Lunga Bunga Is the Kimber new are has it been fired? Does it have the firing pin block or not. I have owned a few Kimbers and they are good weapons. They all fired properly out of the box and I have killed 250 pound wild pig with a 45 Kimber shot it between the eyes. No Joke. I own Colts they...

Train with more guns or one gun more time?

I use the same gun for home and carry. I also shoot the same ammunition that I carry in my weapon for defense at the range. I do not mix ammunition. That way I know how the weapon responds with the same ammunition all the time.

    Which one would you take?

I chose the Sig P229 because that is what I carried for over 2 years. I have also owned a Glock 22, 1st gen Glock 22 2nd gen and a Glock 35. I have also owned Sig P226 and P228. Never owned or shot a HK P 2000 nor a Walther P99 nor the S&W M&P. In the Walther I have owned and carried a P38 1943...

Talking with people who have been shot/affected by guns.

Hi PILMAN Speaking on being shot. I was shot by a friend that did not know how to use a fire arm. I still love fine machinery and weapons are fine machinery. The only out come in my case is I am now leary of untrained people with fire arms. The weapon was a tool and the person using it was the...

.380, decent defense gun or not?

This is probably not what you want to hear but the .380 is better than not having anything and could antagonize an attacker. Up close which is too close it may be fine. I would get a large caliber weapon .40 or larger. Have a nice day and a wonderful week.

HD: 11 rds of .40 SW or 16 rounds of 9mm?

You asked for opinions and everyone has one. Mine is I like the 40 over the 9mm. I prefer the heavier bullets to the lighter ones. Pick the caliber and handgun that you can control the best and that is confortable for you to shoot. Have a nice day and a wondrful week.
