Pretty much as "simple" as they get...... Baikal 12 and Stoeger 20 SxS. :)

For trap shooting, I use a Browning Reactor pad. No more bruising, even if I'm out there half the day. Doesn't matter which gun I use (SxS, O/U or even a single) I still get pain & bruising if I go more than one round, unless I use the Reactor, and then I don't get any of that..

I deal with black bears almost every day from March through to November. In over 30 years of living up here, I've never had to kill one (that I wasn't actually hunting). When it's real cold up here, I get a lot of wolves comin' around my place. I like to use the pelts, so my .22 Mag is always the ticket. Never take a shot outside 80 yards, and always right in the boiler room. I could go with my 22-250 or even my .308 if I just wanted them dead, but I need the fur.

I live in Canada, having been born and raised in Val Verde County, west Tx. Why here? Coz this is what I do every day (when there's no ice...) :) :)

I've never quite understood the need for a magnum caliber, unless you're shooting at something WAY bigger than almost all North American game. I've never shot big game with anything but my BLR in .308. As long as you know what that rifle, and the particular load you have in it, are capable of...

For my own purposes, my "collection" is, I think, complete - I don't own any handguns, coz I don't need any, but, I do have a gun specific to whatever sort of food is in season at any particular time.......:D
