    S&W model 327

I don't think so. I never bother to moon clip range ammo since I usually supplly either my own handloads or store bought ammo. These were an impulse buy because my intent was to shoot more ammo than I had on hand before leaving for the range.

    S&W model 327

I like mine I bought the 327 used off GB - keep an eye out for a bargain. Great shooting gun, really good fit and recoil control, even with top strenght .357 magnums. It's accurate for a snub, a lot of which I'm sure is owed to the better control from the very nice grips. You have the...

Electronics sent to the FIRING SQUAD (pics)

My friend Mike shot a large monitor with his Garand: The damage from the shots was impressive, but a pound of tannerite produced far more damage: http://bighammer.net/images/dude_gettingashell_.wmv

    National Parks

not quite This is not fully accurate. NPS LE staff have statutory authority to enforce both federal law, (and cfr) as well as state law. State law is ineffectual in as much as it conflicts with any federal law or regulation. IOW, it means nothing to NPS that you have a state carry permit...

How would you navigate this situation?... RE no firearms in bars

Believe it or not, the golden rule still applies Once in a while people still do nice things for nice people. It's decent of you to be concerned and keeping up the subtle 'this isn't the best part of town' routine may help, particularly if you're with them at the next "interview". It...

    Useful Automatic Fire

Buzz: Classic area denial. Man, beast & machine that cross the field of fire will have to pay the price. I would say the 1919 could partially fulfill this role. Air cooled, but a very heavy barrel and slow (relatively) ROF. I believe even this qualilifies as crew served however. OP...

Update On New Orleans Cops Gun Confiscations

No. Absent some other mitigating factor, there is no probable cause or any articulable suspiscion. Even if there was, they wouldn't have a right to run any serial number. They may have some granted authority, but no right. The custody & arrest laws vary somewhat state to state and YMMV but...

What happened to the National Park Service gun policy change?

The committee action was not good news. If you notice after the vote they agree to "conform the law" to the DOI proposed regulation which contains the Rube Kempthorne "analogous state lands" language. This is not good because an administrative rule cannot trump a statutory law. Any law...

On the other, other hand... I heard this guy used to be all thumbs.

    FNH FN .45 or S&W M&P .45

come on... No... it's not. It's not even close to that big. In fact, it's not even half as big as that description. It is a full size double action 'service' type handgun and it is dimensionally similar to an HK USP 45, and smaller (IMO, I have seen them side by side) than the Gl*ck f/s...

Is State Park Carry Legal in North Carolina?Future NPS Carry May Be at Stake

Generally speaking, a 'more specific' statute will trump a general statute, and a more recently passed one will superceded a previously passed one. ALL administrative code that is in conflict with an actual statutory law are superceded regardless of specificity or date. IOW it appears that NC...

    Update: CCW in National Parks

If you take a look at final rule promulgations in the federal register you'll see that in a lot of cases they will address specific points raised in the public comment period. Failing to do so *could* be grounds to overturn a regulation in court. It's unlikely, and the deck is stacked against...

    Update: CCW in National Parks

Time will tell If there's a way to review the comments w/o clicking on each one, I haven't found it. Also, you may see the count go up after the 8/8/08 deadline as NPS scans in the faxes & letters it rec'd. There are quite a few of these in the early days of July. The regulation proposed...

about 6 figures... for transferrables, several more pre & post '86 samples floating around too. Or did you mean the "diet coke" of evil black rifles (DCo)EBR - semi auto versions? :neener:
