There is a brand new FIE revolver in the safe that my sister left here for safe keeping after her husband passed but everything of mine is Smith & Wesson.
It depends on the scope's power. Above about 6X I tend to close one eye. Below that I usually keep both open. I keep my scope power turned down most of the time for just that reason.
I got rid of all my Rugers because of Bill's stunt and refused to buy any Smiths until well after they were sold by the British. Not buying Ruger products now is just a habit with me and I gave up on Smith again because of the stupid lock. Plenty of other options out there. No, I don't buy...
Friend of mine had a pristine 9MM Polish Radom he refused to part with. He's passed away now and I'm betting one of his kids has it. It's the only gun I ever wanted and couldn't get.
I think it's policy at these big-box stores. They don't pay anything and the help doesn't know anything. Bass Pro is bad and Cabela's isn't any better.
The BC is a tiny bit better giving a slightly flatter trajectory which is of doubtful usefulness to the average hunter. The edge for everything else goes to the .44 Magnum. I got rid of my 41 years ago.
I've got an older FN in 40 S&W and never had a problem with it. Mags are high as someone already mentioned. My wife wants the FNX9 for herself and I'm thinking about either getting one for myself or the 40 version. FN makes very good guns and makes them in the USA.
Another vote for Smith & Wesson.
I got rid of all my Ruger's back when old Bill caved on the assault weapons ban and swore to never own another. It's dumb. Bill's dead and the company's philosophy has completely turned around but it's become such a habit that I'll probably never change...
First off, the Beretta isn't going to be replaced anytime soon. It's a fine weapon that perfectly suits the needs of our military as currently configured. Costs of the gun, parts availability and maintenance are well known and in line with what the military considers reasonable.
Secondly...
The criminal act being committed, as described in the OP, for Colorado would be criminal extortion per CRS. 18-3-207 (1), a class 4 felony. Call the cops and let them handle it if at all possible. Situations like this can easily and quickly escalate into deadly force encounters. It's...
Save up a bit more money and buy the S&W. You don't want a cheap frustrating gun causing her to lose interest. Kids like yours are hard to come by and worth every penny you spend on them.
