"Radically Invasive Projectiles" (RIP) -- good or bad idea?

who knows, they might be highly effective. I forget where i saw some clear gelatin tests, and those reflected a dispersion of petals I would NOT want occuring in my body. Witholding judgement since i lack data

    AK vs Mini 14

for $640 you could go with a brand new Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport AR-15. Smashes through the typical ROI at that price point. If not that, I'd go with A yugo or polish non-century sporter AK. THe mini14 is a neat gun, but has a bit of history of niggling issues. As for bans, a mini won't...

How Many Guns Are Enough ?

there are NEVER enough. I don't feel one pang of guilt for spending as much as i do on guns, they NEVER lose their value, so as i see it, they're wonderful investments.

Arizona Mike: that .458 Whitworth sounds like fun! That's great that you won it, gives it a cool story to boot

where to search for older, used .375 H&H ?

Malamute: you have done that rifle a great service! What a stunner! and to reflect all of your hard work, that really makes it special. Dr. Rob: hahhah oh touche. Yes, BIG time expensive cartridges, and must be considered. I actually plan to play around with hand loads for it, so once i get...

where to search for older, used .375 H&H ?

Greetings, I'm in the process of attempting to add a .375H&H chambering to my collection, but the cz550 i would like is just more money than i want to spend right now. I know this cartridge has been around for quite awhile, so there should be quite a few used old hunting rifles out there...

Would you rather have 15 round of 9mm, or 8 rounds of 45 in your carry gun

location location location Ill take the 9mm since i shoot it better than .45 , and paperwise, it's "better" to have more rounds. Still, impact location is key and ultimately most important

What is the biggest firearm flop you have ever seen

I love the COP 357!! The AMT Backup in .45 was pretty not great Regarding the Chiappa Revolver, I love the way they look! The low bore would have to make muzzle flip non-existent. I've not fired one yet. The internals look like a Rube Goldberg machine

    Biggest cartridge flops ...

I remember following the life cycle of the .327 Federal Magnum. Man, when the hype was in on that cartridge, it was a supermega ultra rockstar. Still seems like a neat cartridge to me. As a reloader, odd cartridges are fun :) How about the .444 Marlin ? Not sure if it flopped but I don't...
