.22 LR & .22 Mag. Chamber Pressures & Revolver Conversions

Hello Folks, I haven't posted in a while, but have a question. I've been studying chamber pressures for like-caliber rounds and have found the following to be the case: 1. Chamber pressures for the .32 S&W Long are the same for the .32 H&R Mag. 2. Chamber pressures appear to be the same...

    H&R 22 Revolvers

Thanks for the info. , Old Fuff! That is indeed a consideration that I had not thought about. My other concern is whether the 9-round 22LR cylinder would stand the pressure of the 22mag rounds. Any ideas on that? Thanks, Southernford

    H&R 22 Revolvers

Hello Folks, As an Engineer/Part-time Gunsmith, I have learned not to fear messing up the metal on pistols and revolvers that I have worked on. Of course, I started on the cheaper ones first, and worked up from there to the Kahrs and Colts. I have a question for those of you more...

    COBRA PATRIOT 9mm

Not A Bad Idea Chevro, That's not a bad idea. It has dual springs(the larger over the smaller & guide rod), but they are some of the lightest I've seen in an auto pistol. You're probably right. Thanks very much for the suggestion. Dave

    COBRA PATRIOT 9mm

More Testing Friday afternoon I had a chance to run 200 rounds of Sellier & Bellot 9mm hardball through it. I'm a firm believer that you've got to give a pistol a decent break-in before pronouncing judgement on it. It ran well until about round 120 or so. I had another failure to chamber...

    COBRA PATRIOT 9mm

It Came In! My new Cobra 9mm came in yesterday afternoon and I was able to shoot it a little. I'll make the following initial observations: 1. Fit and finish are very good for a pistol in this budget range. 2. Recoil was very controllable w/ the 2-finger grip thanks to its width and...

    Para's LDA - opinions?

My Humble Opinion Back to the original question on Para LDA opinions: I've owned the Colt 1911's, Kimber, and Para LDA. They are all good pistols that do their jobs well. As we can see from these many posts, it really all boils down to personal preference as to the trigger type...

    Cobra Patriot .45 ACP Report

Cobra 9mm Hey Guy's, I ordered one of the Cobra 9's for $189.00 off of Gunbroker.com. It should be in any day now. The slides are supposed to be stainless steel, as are all other parts except the polymer grip frame. It's supposed to be designed by some respected Israeli dude. I own...

    COBRA PATRIOT 9mm

Cobra has bought out both Davis (I think) and Republic Arms, along w/ thier tooling. They make both the cheaper Davis-looking pistols, as well as the .45 acp Patriot that Republic had made, which is a higher grade gun than the Davis types. They also make the .380 and 9mm on another design by a...

    COBRA PATRIOT 9mm

:) Helllo Guys, I'm new to this forum, but have been a gun owner/enthusiast/reloader and hunter for over 30 years now. I'm an engineer but do a little gunsmithing on the side, particularly on my carry guns. I just ordered Cobra Patriot 9mm that I'm going to try to do a little work on to...
