    Mossberg Lever tacticool

What a monstrosity. They took all the coolness out of the lever action and replaced it with impractical simulated tacticalness.

Mini mag light on a 12 gauge

I want to put a light On my hd shotgun, a 12 gauge mossberg 500, and I have a clamp and a mini mag light I'm thinking about using. I just want to know if the light will survive the firing of the shotgun. I would just test it out, but I really would rather avoid buying a new one should it die...

    338 Federal vs 8x57 mauser

I can't speak for the .338, but I have a gew 88 I've been feeding ppu 196gr loads. It's a pretty flat shooter with a good punch to it. My new favorite round by far. The Mauser was built in that round for a reason, and many Russians could testify to it's potential if they had the chance. Stick...

    Gewehr 88 ammo question

What's the easiest way to post pics off an iPhone? I got the rifle today. The throat is pretty wrecked but the rifle it self is quite decent. It has a good feel and I like it a lot. I'd love to shoot it soon. Also it says gew 88, serial 939, spandau, 1890, and it has an s stamped above the...

    Gewehr 88 ammo question

It's Not gonna cost much if anything for the rifle so that isn't a problem. He's had it 30 years and hasn't used it for 20, he said he didn't even remember the accuracy but he just told me he has a few boxes of ammo so hopefully that will shed some light. I also just picked up a mosin 91/30 from...

    Gewehr 88 ammo question

I may soon be getting a Gewehr 88 from my boss, and I'm somewhat of a noob to high power rifles. Always been a shotgun guy. Anyways I've heard many of them use different types of ammo. My boss knows very little about it. All he said was that it was a German ww1 Mauser and it had a metal shroud...

    Mossberg 500 Persuader

I have a field security combo. Has a short barrel with a cylinder for hd and a 28" ribbed barrel with a fixed modified. That's alll I need, works for almost anything. You can buy new barrels, all mossberg 500 series barrels will fit, however none will fit the persuader length mag tube. You'll...

410 for HD, specific ammo question.

That's similar to how I load mine. I have a mossy 500 12bore, and I use a heavy #8, then a slug, #8, slug, slug. I like the setup. As for your .410, I'd try 00 followed by a slug. I'd say that's as much power as you can get from a .410

    Mossberg 500 Persuader

Your gonna have to break clays quick with that shotgun. It only has a cylinder choke. Good for defense, but not clays. You'll see what we mean when you try. Also, get plenty Of practice with the grip and the stock. The pistol grip may prove too hard and uncomfortable to use. I put the stock back...

410 for HD, specific ammo question.

Use the 000 or buy magnum slugs. Or better yet get a bigger bore and have less to worry about.

    Help me fill the gap!

As much as I'd love an ak, it's out of the budget. and what should I look to pay for a 7400 in .308?

    Help me fill the gap!

Just out of curiosity how much do you guys get nosing ammo for? It seems like the best choice. Especially coming stock with a pig sticker. Also, #4 buck is a tiny bit more than slugs, but much harder to find, At least in my area. Most places only have 00 and 000. Also I shoot cheap slugs. If you...

    Help me fill the gap!

Hey guys, I've read info on this forum for a while and finally signed up. Right now I own a mossberg 500 12ga field/security, a marlin 10 shot .22, a .50 muzzleloader and an 1851 .44 cap n ball revolver, but I'm missing a good repeating high power rifle for hoggin and such. Slugs in the mossy...
