    S&W M&P9 torture test – finally broken!

Update: Test is Over. Link It's not surprising the lawyers shut it down. I'll bet everyone involved was chapped when the fine print guys pulled the plug.

    My new M&P 40

Congratulations on your new purchase. I got one myself last month. They really are great guns. Welcome to the forum.

    S&w 39-2

I just gave my nickel 39-2 Smith to my son. It was left to me by my dad when he passed away 18 years ago. It was his carry weapon when he went to work for the sherriffs dept. after retiring from the state police. It's got a lot of light surface scratches from being a work gun, but still a...

What was your first hunting shotgun?

Smith and Wesson model 1000 12 guage with a 30 in full choke barrel. That was a sweet shooting, squirrel killing machine!

    Springfield XD or Smith M&P?

Another vote for the M&P. I've got one in .40 and love it.

    S&w m&p?

My son and I just got back from the gun range. We shot my new .40 M&P. As good of a gun as it is to shoot, the ease of take-down and cleaning makes it even better. My old nickel S&W model 39-2 isn't too hard to take-down, but that M&P is a breeze!

    Least usefull caliber.

Hey Loomis :neener: :D I've got nothing against a 16 guage. My son has his grandfathers old Sweet 16 and it is a really good round. My point was the 20 is more versatile since they chambered it for magnum rounds. He hardly ever shoots it, but wears out his 20 870 express that he has had...

    Least usefull caliber.

.410 is a pretty good shotgun for snakes and such. They are especially good for youngsters just starting out hunting. My vote would be the 16 guage. They used to be really popular until the 20 guage magnum came along. That stretched the versality of the 20 guage to overshadow and kill the...

Recommend a pistol to fit these criteria

I just got a S&W M&P .40 and love it. I got it from Academy for $500 with a $50 mail in rebate. It came with a case, 2 15 round clips and 3 different size backstraps for the grips.

    beretta 391 hanging up

Thanks After getting home and checking out exactly where the bolt is sticking, it does seem to be related to the elevator position. It is actually when the elevator is trying to be pushed back down. The 2nd split opens up tomorrow and I'm going to get some kind of 'super lube' today and...

    beretta 391 hanging up

Yeah, I think it is. I don't have it with me right now, but thinking it over, that sounds about right.

    beretta 391 hanging up

Thanks HSMITH Did not know the capnut torque was an issue on these types of guns. It did not correct the problem I'm having though. It's still got a binding spot halfway through the cycle. I cannot recall a time when it has jammed while extracting a hull either. Seems like it always...

    beretta 391 hanging up

I've taken this thing down several times and always use the manual to put it back together so I don't think any parts are put in wrong. Like I said earlier, it doesn't hang up every time I go out and shoot, maybe two or three times a season while duck hunting, but I know this gun has a good...

    beretta 391 hanging up

I've got an AL391 Urika that I've had for a couple of years and I love it. The only problem is that it hangs up every now and then, and the problem seems to be getting more frequent. I clean it frequently and keep it oiled. The bolt stops in the same spot every time (about half-way closed). If...
