About to load my first few rounds

Thanks for the tips guys. I loaded those 20 rounds a little bit ago, but I have 20 more of the same kind of brass sitting around, so maybe I'll put together a 4 or so rounds a with less powder to ensure I'm safe first, sound reasonable? So, since I went in such small increments, do you think I...

Woops, yeah .308. And yeah as I sat down to measure out the powder I realized exactly that....so I ended up rounding

About to load my first few rounds

So I'm about to start loading my first few rounds, read through both the manuals I have, got my stuff all setup, so I think it is time. This is what I plan on loading to start, does that all seem right? I'm just going to load 20 rounds from starting load to max load and take them to the range...

Question about bullet/powder choice, new to reloading.

Thank you all! That pretty much answered all my questions for the moment. I think after reading all that I have the info I need and feel comfortable enough giving this powder and bullet a go, very informative bunch you all are. I'm going to try to do this the correct way like you all said. Hey...

Question about bullet/powder choice, new to reloading.

Hmmm....yes I understand, I think. I had seen that site, but maybe I'm just confused. I was under the impression that each bullet (for example A-Max, or the Sierra HPBT listed there) had a specific load data. But that isn't the case? It's just how many grains the bullet is and the kind of powder...

Question about bullet/powder choice, new to reloading.

So I'm really new to reloading, finally got my first press, reloading manuals, and all that jazz (here's a link with all the stuff I got in case that becomes relevant http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=7963104#post7963104)....but I think I screwed up on my choice of bullet and powder. I...

Bought my first reloading stuff. Think I did alright?

Thanks Geckgo. Yes it does come with the speer book, and I was wondering exactly that, you read my mind. One of the reviews said that most of the speer book only went off of the proprietary Speer reloading accouterments so it wasn't very useful in other cases. Any recommendations on manuals...

Bought my first reloading stuff. Think I did alright?

@Mcleod - That bench is almost exactly what I had in mind, thanks! I might go for a smaller piece of wood just to make it easier to store. Or I could drill through the wood and use some heavy bolts and wing nuts then disassemble it when I have to store it. @ Lost Sheep - Thank you! I'm glad I...

Bought my first reloading stuff. Think I did alright?

Hello I'm new here, I've gleaned a TON of info off this site in the past but only finally am joining. So I do a lot of shooting, and have toyed with the idea of reloading for a while. Recently came into a few hundred dollars I wasn't expecting at all so thought I'd put it to use and get started...
