Without stirring the pot...I'm not sure this is the fit the OP is looking for.

It's hard to tell in these pictures, but the gap between the trigger guard and the grip is what the OP doesn't like about the Houge grips.

While it is adjustable, for me personally, I find it most comfortable to wear in the center of my chest. I've tried the under your arm position and it was just "OK".

I have one for my Ruger Alaskan in .44 magnum. Like others have said, it's well made and comfortable to wear. You're getting a quality product that is built to last.

Thank you for the replies everyone and like some have said, the chances of ever needing to draw my weapon in defense against a bear are incredibly small.
However, I do need to take my daughters concerns into honest consideration, not simply dismiss them and approach them from an educated...
While working on the deer blind this past Saturday with my daughter (age 12), this little guy came rambling out of the woods at 75 yards.
We certainly weren't in fear at any point, and I'm a firm believe that 99% of the time the bear will get out of Dodge long before any potential harm can...
Less than a month ago I was paying $28.09 per 1K for Winchester SPP. This past weekend I paid $31.59 per 1K for Winchester SPP. An increase of $3.50 or roughly 12.5%
I'm certainly not complaining as I know other folks are paying much more than that. My price point is probably in the $35.00...
As mentioned earlier, who’s raising the prices on who…is it the retailer, distributor or manufacturer? My money is on the retailer.
I say that because I personally bought 1,000 Federal 150 Large Pistol primers last Thursday (March 28th) for $28.29. You’re limited to 1,000 primers per order...
You are absolutely correct Sharps. If that is indeed the case that my sincerest apologies and I’ll take my lashes. However if it's not, then my original question stands.
All the best,
Steve
I realize I am going to be an absolute kill-joy as I’ll take a revolver over a semi-auto any day of the week, but why do folks insist on taking pictures of LOADED revolvers with propping devices INSIDE the trigger guard?
All the best,
Steve
The Kimber has a fairly stout belt/pocket clip and I have worn it clipped on the outside of my running shorts and surprisingly it was barely noticeable nor did it bounce too much.
If you go that route, hopefully it will be successful for you too.
All the best,
Steve
"I was responding to the idea that long runs are slower than short runs. They simply aren't. Anyone who runs distance with regularity understands that the whole point is not to vary your pace that much."
Actually you should...but that's a topic for a different thread ;-)
I saw a reference...
A couple that I have talked to stated they swabbed with Kroil on a regular basis.
The limiting factor to my precision is me and certainly not my firearms or the cleaning rods I have used.
All the best,
Steve
I don’t understand the "rod embedded with grit" argument.
If it is grit that is left over from the firing of a cartridge, then the firing of that cartridge and another cartridge and another cartridge, etc. will cause more damage to the bore than me running a "grit embedded" aluminum...
