Quiet .22 rd for 700-800 FPS

CB rounds are very quiet from a rifle, noisy from a pistol. The CB round is available in different case lengths (Short and LR - but both are basically primer only loads). Very quiet - less noise than a pellet gun generally. Pick up a box and test - you will like the results.

    Ruger Single-Six

These are great revolvers, that should last long enough to give to grandchildren. I wish I had got mine sooner!

NAA Mini .22, Carrying with hammer in Safety Notches?

Finally purchased a used NAA Mini .22 LR (Not the magnum frame version). Very good mechanical fit, and very well made overall in my opinion. Have always wanted one, and was lucky enough to spot a used one the other day. Except for a little necessary cleaning, I'll call it like new. From...

    recommend some good ww2 museums.

Wright Patterson AFB (Dayton OH) has a great museum with planes from ww2. Could easily spend a couple of days there.

Feel Free to Laugh: Caught off guard.

You should have turned in that potato peeler at the last potato peeler no questions asked buy back. Only police and military should have potato peelers... :)

    Wave bye bye to eBay

Wonder what type of shoes he wore... Will they not allow those to be sold on e-bay too? Amazes me everytime I see someone thinking that the pencil is responsible for typos.

    Cleaning my wheelgun

"I always take the cylinder off my S&W revolvers for cleaning. Do the rest of you do this?" For cleaning after a trip to the range - yes. Makes things a whole lot easier to get really clean and go lots faster. In between range trips, no. Just a good wipe down with a lightly oiled rag keeps...

CCW security in case of Emergency...

How come we have to be disarmed just because we're unconscious?????? :barf: I taught a previous friend, a nurse, how to safely handle a firearm in just such a situation when CCW came to Missouri three years ago. Her workplace would have nothing to do with training like that, but I wanted to...

    .22 loads for new pistol

I believe the link below has some good discussion on light .22 loads... http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=238927&highlight=.22 FYI, the CB shorts make far more noise out of a revolver than they do from a rifle. Significant difference. Steven

    Lightweight Small Revolver Club

S&W 637 Airweight here. Showing lots of "character" and scuff marks from a few years of carry, but still functioning just fine. Not a target shooter or beauty queen by any means, but you just can't beat these lightweight models for a carry choice IMO. - Steven

    Concealed Carry on a Motorcycle?

J-Frame IWB 4:00, no change from normal carry. Shirts are usually long enough that I can sit on the tail of the shirt to hold things in place. The small windshield on mine keeps things down to a more tolerable level than you would think though. (1985 Honda Magna 700 Sport cruiser). Steven

    Single Action .22

Just stating that the Ruger Single Six is the type of handgun that is well built enough that it can easily be passed on to future generations (My nephew gets mine when I pass). A gun that falls apart in a year or two is of little value to anyone IMO. The price difference between some crappy...
