    Weatherby Or Savage .308/.223

You can acually go "Plinking" with the .308. Last time I checked, Sports Academy had them for $8.00 box for ball ammo......I mean if that's the only gun you got, run what you brung!

    Weatherby Or Savage .308/.223

Both are good rifles. I have a Weatherby Vanguard in .223. I would not hunt deer with it. But Varmits and smaller critters don't stand a chance! I have a .308 in a Ruger M77 I hunt Deer, and Elk with. Ammo cost is Cheap for either weapon.

Why a 22 LR rifle is considered by many the ultimate survival firearm?

Well, you can carry alot of ammo. It's not that heavy. It's much quieter that a 338 Lapua. You can shoot what you can eat in a 1 day period, with one shot. The chances of finding more ammo is very high....

rossi, charter buy or no buy

Rossi Fan here! I have 2 of them. 38 special and a 357 Magnum. The 38 has a 4" barrel and the 357 has a 6" barrel. I put about 350 rounds a month through the 38. She is accurate, nice trigger pull, feel good in hand and a all around fun plinker/self defence firearm!

How Reliable is the ROSSI R462 .357 MAG.???

I have (2) Rossi's. A 38 Special, Blued, 4" barrel, vented rib, target sights. This is the most affordable, most reliable, best firing, weapon I have ever owned. I paid $225.00 for it at a local gun shop. The second of the two is the exact same gun only in 357 Mag. It is Nickle, 6" barrel...

    Taurus 24/7 Long Slide

I have problems with mine (NIB). It seems that the slide locks open when feeding another round. I bought mine on a Friday, went to the range on Saturday and couldn't get 3 rounds through it. Well, after some oil, changing mags...etc., etc., the problem wouldn't go away. So I boxed it up, talked...
