Just wondering if either one can shoot steel cased ammo reliably.

It's mounted now. It fits with about 1/4 inch clearance. Unfortunately, I just found out the new scope is defective. I do now know that a scope with a 1.75 inch bell will clear the bolt. I have to look for a new scope.

What I didn't like about the base is it didn't come with the wrench to tighten the 8 set screws. I had one hiding in a tool box. Another big thing is that the bare base is too high to see irons. I'm sol if the scope fails in the field. The scope is a mueller multi shot for shotguns I think...

I don't know why the hell it keeps posting the same pic.

My intention was to put up pics of the base, a couple of ring heights, bolt clearance, ocular bell size and the finished rifle. I don't know what the hell I'm doing but at least I got one pic up(4times).
