If you want to semi-permanently mark the bag, you could have it embroidered onto the canvas. It's easy to undo the stitching, but would get costly if you change your mind too often. :D You could try sewing on one of those plastic "windows" that you can slip a card into, and mark the cards.

I love that idea! My only concern is: will it hold up when you put your gun(s) and ammo in it? Is the strap strong enough to support all that weight?
