The better half wants a pink revolver. Help?

I do know that hogue makes a pink replacement grip. I believe it says it's for a s&w but could possibly fit other guns. My wife's charter arms pink lady hurts my hand more with .38s than my sp101 with full house .357s. Could be because the ruger weighs over twice as much.

    Coyote Problems Please Help

A coyote has an amazing nose. You could be sitting in a tub full of scent killer and he will know your there. You are never "undetectable" to a coyote. I agree with live bait. A chicken in a small live trap will drive the predators crazy so don't be surprised to see bobcats come in too.

What's the most memorable THING you've ever put a bullet through.

My 14 aluminum v-bottom boat from 6" with a scoped 10/22. I was driving down a country road pulling the boat when I saw 3 badgers tearing up my dads wheat field. I grabbed the gun, jumped out and started shooting. I hit two quickly but the third was running fast down a fence row. I was shooting...

    Varmint rifles !

I would consider a varmint rifle to be heavy barreled, heavy stock, high power scoped, lightened triggers and slow twist rate to shoot lighter bullets that can be pushed really fast but that's just my opinion.

    Government Contract Ammo?

I bought a 1000 rounds of it two years ago for $280 from another website but I just checked and they are up to $374 over there too. It shoots good and feeds good in my XDsc

    AR-15 kaboom (link provided)

Maybe he loaded a soft pistol primer loaded high that got set off by the bolt face? I was also wandering about maybe not cleaning out the powder hopper good and getting some fast pistol powder on the first couple rounds.

    another resizing issue

I would take the die apart and clean it really good with solvent or brake cleaner. Then feel for rough spots and polish with some 400-600 grit sand paper lightly or a dremel tool with a buffing wheel. I would also recommend more lube or a different brand of lube.

    .308 question

My brother and I were shooting a home made gong at 600 yards last weekend. With my cheep savage edge I could put about 70% of my rounds on the 10" gong. They still had enough energy to punch a clean hole through 1/4" sheet metal at that distance. I would not hesitate to shoot any north...

    How would you spend $2000?

Get a 10/22 and deck it out with an aftermarket stock and as much match grade stuff as you can get your hands on. You will have a beautiful rifle that you can shoot every day if you want and never have worry about bringing down the value.

    removing stuck sabot/bullet?

It was some sort of special purpose rod that my dad had bought at a farm and ranch show. It was kind of like an aluminum rod but kind of like a nickel rod for cast iron. He buys weird stuff to play around with when he's bored.

    removing stuck sabot/bullet?

I pulled a stubborn ball once by braising a 2" dry wall screw to an aluminum rod I found at the farm. Bent a 90 degree handle on the other end. Tape the weld with Teflon tape to protect barrel and help center rod. The drywall screw was very easy to screw into the lead ball.

"you can shoot 357s out of that 38 special"

I knew it was a 38 special because of the way the guy asked for it. At the store they have a small card with each gun that has the caliber. When the employee was handling the gun and was corrected he held it in front of his face to get a better look. The area where the employee stands is raised...

"you can shoot 357s out of that 38 special"

To make it final I went back to academy and looked at the gun he was shown. It was a Taurus 38 special. I looked it up tonight and the model is 85B2.

"you can shoot 357s out of that 38 special"

I'm not sure of the model. The customer was in front of me and just pointed to the case and said "can I see that 38" the employee reached in the case and pulled it out and said that as he was handing to the customer. When everyone corrected him, the customer put his hands down and the Clerk...

"you can shoot 357s out of that 38 special"

After he was corrected he repeated the same thing he said before, at which point the other clerk took the gun from him and put it back up. I walked away at that point but just thought later that maybe it wasn't just a brain fart and he really was completely clueless to certain firearms/ammo...
