That's great info thanks. As far as the mid length gas system I could literally find one company sellng barrels. Luckily satern has great reviews. I'm hoping I like it as much as my WOA SDM barrels. I love 6mm in general, I've been wanting to try one for a while.

So I went ahead and ordered a carbine spring and buffer and will be putting a collapsible stock on it.

To be solvent resistant it will have to be catalyzed.. which means in simple terms a chemical reaction that changes the property of the paint. You would need a resin or heat to be the catalyst.. that's why urethane paint on your car is two part. Cerakote is two part and baked...

Tirod is spot on..I would only add to that, how many companies do you think are producing these parts? There aren't fifty companies forging receivers.. there are like three. A long as your happy with the machine work than it's fine. Same with bcgs. Maybe more than three but same concept..

I have built a lot of ARs. I would not buy anything but a dpms. My cheapest crappiest ar10 was a sportical in 308. And that thing would shoot cover leaves at 100 yards

I'm a 243 freak.. I have bolts, and ARs in it..But no levers in 243.. I gotta say it's one of the most well rounded cartridges. Fast flat and with bullets like the tsx it's is a viscous killer..

To say it leaves it in the dust means it's dramatically different. in what way is 243 eating dust? I will admit that my expertise with both cartridges is limited to deer size game and smaller but with an 85 gr tsx I've never had to go find an animal,unless you consider walking to where it was...

Do tan snakeskin.. It is really effective in the desert. Paint the whole gun dark brown. Stretch your wife/girlfriend/neighbors wife's fish nets over the gun. Zip tie it tight in the Voids (Magwell etc...) then put a thin coat of a couple different tans and or grey over the top.. let dry clear...

Internet ninjas have unicorns! Soooooooo jealous! A "well built" ar should be a sub half moa gun.. I know I own them.. a thrown together AR, or your basic bushy/dpms should be a 1moa gun... I know I own those too....

I would be concerned with the deep pits looks like they go all the way to the rifling!
