    6x45 (6mm-223) AR build

That's great info thanks. As far as the mid length gas system I could literally find one company sellng barrels. Luckily satern has great reviews. I'm hoping I like it as much as my WOA SDM barrels. I love 6mm in general, I've been wanting to try one for a while.

    6x45 (6mm-223) AR build

So I went ahead and ordered a carbine spring and buffer and will be putting a collapsible stock on it.

So I don't use thehighroad to promote I come here to discuss guns, but I'd be glad to make you a wrap if you want one. I have several to make this week anyway. I'm @acesandeightsleather on Instagram. You can message me if you're interested

    6x45 (6mm-223) AR build

Thanks for all the replies! I'm running an LR-243 (308) with a WOA medium contour barrel. So even though the case capacity is low, I'm not in need of 243 velocities, I have about 1k various 6mm projectiles. I load 223 and 243, so this is like free ammo . I don't have any experience with the 6mm...

    6x45 (6mm-223) AR build

Got the itch to build a new AR. Considered a big bore (450,458) but finally settled on a 6x45. I load for a couple 223/556 rifles, and a couple 6mm as well so I have everything needed for this build. I was hoping to get some feedback from anyone who is running an AR in 6x45. I just ordered a...

    Painting an AR

To be solvent resistant it will have to be catalyzed.. which means in simple terms a chemical reaction that changes the property of the paint. You would need a resin or heat to be the catalyst.. that's why urethane paint on your car is two part. Cerakote is two part and baked...

Build a complete AR-15 (including rear sight and magazine) for $386.21 shipped.

Tirod is spot on..I would only add to that, how many companies do you think are producing these parts? There aren't fifty companies forging receivers.. there are like three. A long as your happy with the machine work than it's fine. Same with bcgs. Maybe more than three but same concept..

    Ar-10

I have built a lot of ARs. I would not buy anything but a dpms. My cheapest crappiest ar10 was a sportical in 308. And that thing would shoot cover leaves at 100 yards

    Ar-10

I've had three dpms ar10s. My current one is chambered in 243.. all have been excellent rifles.. make sure whatever you pic its on the dpms platform. By far the easiest platform to get mags and parts for

Here's a couple of lever actions in .243...

I'm a 243 freak.. I have bolts, and ARs in it..But no levers in 243.. I gotta say it's one of the most well rounded cartridges. Fast flat and with bullets like the tsx it's is a viscous killer..

New to Hunting, looking to buy my 1st rifle

To say it leaves it in the dust means it's dramatically different. in what way is 243 eating dust? I will admit that my expertise with both cartridges is limited to deer size game and smaller but with an 85 gr tsx I've never had to go find an animal, unless you consider walking to where it was...

    Painting an AR

Do tan snakeskin.. It is really effective in the desert. Paint the whole gun dark brown. Stretch your wife/girlfriend/neighbors wife's fish nets over the gun. Zip tie it tight in the Voids (Magwell etc...) then put a thin coat of a couple different tans and or grey over the top.. let dry clear...

    Bolt-action vs. AK semi-auto in cal .308 or 7.62X54R

Internet ninjas have unicorns! Soooooooo jealous! A "well built" ar should be a sub half moa gun.. I know I own them.. a thrown together AR, or your basic bushy/dpms should be a 1moa gun... I know I own those too....

Is This Mosin Nagant Barrel Safe?

I would be concerned with the deep pits looks like they go all the way to the rifling!
