I would just get the extended pieces you like to fit your taste. I wouldnt imagine glock changing the internals of these on purpose, though I dont know if there was an intended improvement that required an internal change. There are plemty of high quality aftermarket 30s parts

As far as a single action revolver goes, i would never consider using one as a carry gun. I prefer "condition one", for lack of better term as my mil pro is striker fired, however i will take the safety off if i feel like i may be headed for a questionable situation, given the ability and time...

I love my Gardone VT. great for light clothes, and ankle carry. I keep a round similar to glazers in it, as i would think it would be mainly a very close confrontation leading to needing a B/U gun, or if i was without my daily cc. Good accuracy for a blowback, reliable, and negligible recoil.

Always have an extra mag. Having one extra mag DOUBLES your weapons effectiveness. Its just too easy not to. Plus you then have the option to implement a tactical reload if a situation calls for such.
