    .204 Ruger copper fouling, accuracy

Thanks, stubby.have checked to make sure things are tight on the scope. What gets me is there seems to be no rhyme or reason to a sometimes tall, sometimes wide, sometimes all over the place group. I am trying to convince him to get a better scope, but since we are brothers...well you figure...

    .204 Ruger copper fouling, accuracy

Hey all, I have a question about my brother's rifle. It is a Savage (sorry, don't know the model #) in .204 Ruger. He is having a devil of a time with copper fouling in the barrel, and the accuracy is bad. We have several suspects: the fouling itself, his handloads, the scope, and maybe the...

    mold on my guns

A dehumidifier will definately help. Relative humidity above 60% in a dark space is ideal for mold to grow. Air conditioners help dehumidify, as do the litle stick type heaters. Get one as soon as you can.

    ccw reciprocity for purchases

Does anyone know (and I'm sorry if it's already been asked) if CCW reciprocity conveys purchasing rights also? I have found the list of reciprocal states, but don't know how purchasing works. I will be travelling to Virginia from NC and am going to a gun show. Just wondering what may be involved...

    Para-Ordnance Tac-S

OK, here I go. Not too long ago, I posted in a thread or two about the unreliability of my then-new Para Tac-S. I had many problems with it extracting and feeding, or failures thereof. I didn't want to give up on it, as the LDA trigger is a pretty slick system. So, I sent off an e-mail to Para...

    Pistol vs. Rifle ammo?

Thanks for the info, all. I am WAY past the age of 21, so that hasn't even crossed my mind. Guess I better get my tinfoil hat adjusted. Cheers!!

    Pistol vs. Rifle ammo?

Can anyone tell me why Wal-mart in NC asks if the 22LR ammo I buy is for a pistol or Rifle? What is this all about? Some left-wing conspiracy I should be worried about? Or no big deal? Any thoughts?

    590A1 Magazine Tube Spring

I just wondered if the less-slick finish maybe made it easier for the spring to bind against the mag tube walls. Guess I'll try a new spring or at least contact Mossberg about it.

    590A1 Magazine Tube Spring

I have the same problem you are having. Is your 590 by chance a Marinecote version? I have a much older 590 in blue that has never even burped. I bought a new one a month ago in Marinecote, and it is giving me a fit. I'm going to try a new spring also. Thanks for posting this thread.

    XD or Glock 9mm

And, by all means, practice with your Kel-Tec. Know it well if it's your CCW.

    XD or Glock 9mm

The best advice given yet: try both and see which one you like the best. The same engineer designed both pistols. I have a most anal friend who just sold his Glock for an XD. He says it fits his hand better, and he feels more comfortable with it. Both are stone reliable, get the one that fits.

    Sig Mosquito

I bought one for my wife to learn how to shoot. It is great for that. She now knows how to clear almost any malfunction an autoloading pistol can dish out. My advice: buy a Ruger MKIII or MKII. Much more pistol for less money. My little brother has a Sig in .40 S&W. It's a great pistol. The...

    Reloading for AR-10

Thanks again for the info, all. I have both Lee sizing lube, and one-shot. To me, the Lee stuff is much better, but both have worked fine for my .223 work. I wasn't sure what to expect with the .308, and so far we ain't getting along. I will not let it get the best of me, though. My press is a...

What is the most unreliable semi auto you have shot ?

A Para-Ordnance LDA single stack .45 ACP. I still have it. Its SD role- give it to the bad guy, while he's trying to figure out how to get it to shoot, crack him in the head with a stick.
