Wow, and Police officers wonder why the communities that they "serve" don't support them so much these days..... Your view carries little weight, the law does. When you infringe upon the rights of others you "break the law". You don't get to do that as a LEO and still be the good guy.

Couple of problems for Mr. Metcalf, and the comparison to Mr. Robertson. 1st issue is that he overvalued his worth to his company. He assumed (and was way wrong) that his personal opinion on a touchy subject was worth enough to risk making his base customers angry. Now that kind of arrogance...

Anyone stupid enough to start an anti gun tirade at my family gatherings wouldn't be welcome for long. My retired mother has become about as pro-gun as it gets. She would likely give them 1 chance to shut up then show them the door.

I have found that obviously over the top, sarcastic laughter, followed by ignoring the anti, throws them off in these situations. :evil:

Most (but not all) on here understand what Metcalf obviously doesn't. His yelling fire in a theater analogy is extremely flawed. Infringing upon the 2nd is like saying that one might be allowed to regulate the 1st on the grounds that someone might be capable of yelling fire in a theater. Until...

My wife grew up in an anti home, but has always been supportive. Took me about six years to get her to shoot. She now has her hcp. My mother was.never.anti but as she has gotten older.she is far more pro. She got her hcp at 57 and carries daily now. People often change.

During the FF time the most powerful weapons were cannon. Cannons were commonly held by private individuals. The FF were a lot smarter than most liberals give them credit for. The major problems our government has today come from trying to get around the constitution rather than abiding by it!

I don't have any suspicions. I have complete faith th a t our government is spying on anything and everything it can.

Personally I like MDR (Modular Defense Rifle) or MDRS (Modular Defense RIfle System), because one the the great advantages of the AR platform is its "Modular" design. I am kind of shocked that mfgs have not focused on that to a great extent.

Heavily Armed = the weapon or weapons and ammo weigh more than I can carry. ;)
