It's a range toy. I don't see much practical use for one. If I got a screaming good deal on one I'd buy it and SBR it just for giggles.

Well Said HSO. My CLEO basically said the same thing...His thought is that a "bad guy" isn't going to go through the trouble of getting finger prints and paying $200. For Cool NON-NFA guns I love AR-15's. They are like tinker toys or legos for men.

As long as you don't strap the mask on the gun's you'll be fine....but if the guns are having trouble slleping they might need a sleep study :neener:

I've owned NFA items for years and never felt overly scrutinized by "Big Brother". The worst thing about the process is the wait. In general it just not as big a deal as most people make it out to be to own a NFA weapon. It does vary some from area to area (Some CLEO are hesitant to sign off...

As stated above...that would make it an SBR NOT a AOW. Not forever. You can have guns removed from the NFA registry if they are restored to a non NFA configuration.

I've always had good luck with usgi mags and the p-mags mentioned above are also nice (DSG is currently running a 10 for $99 deal if you don't mind Green). A lot of guys are switching over to p-mags entirely and I've found some great deals on NIW usgi mags (as low as 6.00 each). The only mags...

On my 10mm DW I've went with EGW oversized Firing pin stop, 23 lb mainspring and 20 lb recoil spring. I'm not a fan of shock buffs at all.

I see that you totally understand my case of 10mm Witness gun lust. I wonder of there is a support group?

You guys are killing me. I've been trying for weeks to talk myself out of a Witness in 10mm. I have a feeling that as soon as I see one in a local shop my willpower will break and it will come home with me.

I had one in 88' or 89' and it rain O.K. (by O.K. I mean only a FTF every couple mags.) I never could find a real use for it. Useless in a handgun role and no good way to attach a stock and SBR it. It was really only good at wasting 9mm ammo.
