    Thanks for all of the advice.I'll put 400 more rounds out of it and see how it shoots.I'll get someone else to try and see where they hit also...the groups I got were about 3 to 4 inch groups...Anyone recommend one certain ammo better than any other?

    I bought a Rock Island Armory 1911 .45 basic G.I. so far I've fired a box of Winchester 230 gr FMJ and a box of federal 230 gr FMJ,(50 round boxes).At 30 feet the gun shoots 3 to 4 inches to the left.Should I wait until I've broken it in(500 rounds) or try some other ammo,before trying to do...
