I would love to test one out first, but I don't know anyone that has a 204. Before I bought the 22-250 I asked the gunshop owner about muzzle jump and he said that it was minimal and I could definately be able to see the bullet hit. I think I have decide to get a .204 though instead of a .223...

No, I love my 22-250 but I hate not being able to see the point of impact when I shoot. It has just a little bit too much recoil for that. I plan on keeping it, just looking for another fun rifle to add to the collection.

No I don't reload, but I plan on learning to save on ammo cost. How much can you save by reloading on average? Most of my 22-250 factory ammo(hornady v-max)cost me $20/20.

I'm looking to buy another varmint rifle to go along with my 22-250. I want to be able to see the point of impact through the scope. I can't do this with my current rifle and that is the one thing I dislike. I want to be able to shoot groundhogs out to 300yards. Which is a better round for me...

Thanks for all the replies. I really like this 22-250 the more I shoot it. Since posting this topic, I am 4 for 4 on groundhogs. The distances were 115,175,185,210 yards. I don't even wait till they stand up I'm so confident in the rifle. I'm really having fun!

Yeah I've found that out and no I don't handload. On a calm day I rarely miss under 275 yards, but wind has been giving me fits. Still having a fun though! Thanks for the replies.

I'm pretty happy with the HMR considering the scope on it, but just wondering about the 22-250. The barrell is free floating for sure. I was just thinking it should shoot much tighter. Will Hornady v-max loads perform much better?
