14-15 Feb Ft Worth Gun show

$10 to park!! Seemed a little pricey to me as well. As far as picking up guns with or without permission: I've been a vendor many times, I WANT folks of legal age to pick them up and look at them. That's why they are on the table! Well, that's kinda what I thought, but I got schooled...

14-15 Feb Ft Worth Gun show

Fort Worth Gun Show TexasGrayBeard Crowded and kids everywhere. Good, it means those kids will one day love guns just like us. Right you are! But let's not forget...they are not the ones purchasing the guns. Hard to stop and look. And as has been stated before, many tables looked...

14-15 Feb Ft Worth Gun show

Fort Worth Gun Show Went this weekend and may very well be the last time I go. $10 to park, $9 entry fee. So add $19 to the cost of anything you plan to purchase before you walk in. Crowded and kids everywhere. Hard to stop and look. And as has been stated before, many tables looked like...

How are you liking your M&P Shield?

Just liking the heck out of it! Fits my hand well, totally reliable, and very accurate. The more I shoot it, the more I like it. Mine is 9, but toying with the idea of getting on in 40.

    Perfect "Camp and Trail revolver?"

Another vote for Ruger SP101. My favorite all around revolver. Try the 327 if you can find one. Or the light 38 loads in your 357.

    Bird's Head Grip

[/I][/B]I have one in 45 LC and I find it very easy to point and shoot. Works well for me as a "door gun."

Would you sell your first gun?

No I would not. I wasn't allowed to have a pistol when I was growing up so I saved my money and bought a Ruger Single Six .22 as soon as I turned 21. I was a senior in college (Wreck Em Tech) I think it cost about $150 at a gun shop in Lubbock. I would not part with it.

Suggestions for a 9mm, not to carry, as a first gun?

I was gonna say Glock until I read the part about the safety. But I'm still gonna say Glock. I'm not sure why so many people say they don't make a good first handgun. They are simplicity itself. Easy to load, shoot, and maintain. They go bang every time. Keep your finger off the trigger...

    Ruger SP101 3"

Ruger SP 101 3" You won't regret it. My favorite handgun.

    first 22 advise

First 22 I recently bought the Ruger American in 22 mag and have really enjoyed it. Seems to be a well made little rifle and no too pricey. I know they make them in regular 22 as well. Henry is a lot of fun to shoot. Something about working the lever makes me feel like John Wayne...pilgrim!

    Taurus Handguns

I have had hit and miss luck with Taurus. First gun I ever bought was a Taurus 357. (All I could afford.) Still have it and it's okay. Don't shoot it much. Bought a .22 mag. Nothing but problems. Hard to get cylinder out, hard to eject shells. Bought a .17. Same issues as .22...

Will ruger come out with a 3 inch lcr

I hope Ruger does make a single action 327. (Seven rounds would be nice as well) I shoot 32 H&R Mag through my SP in 327 and I have to say it's my favorite pistol and caliber to shoot.

Will ruger come out with a 3 inch lcr

I sent Ruger an email about a lcr in 327. Their reply was that they "have no plans to manufacture the lcr in that caliber at this time." I would prefer that over a 3" lcr.

What caliber for first time shooter?

First pistol my wife ever fired was my 9mm and she didn't have any problem with it. Besides...I can't find .22 ammo. (And when I do, it's as high as a cat's back!) I vote 9.

    Ruger's New "SR" 9E?

Ruger 9E I'm going to look at one today. If I like the way it feels, gonna get it. Don't have any of the SR pistols, but kinda sorta been wanting one. This might make a good truck pistol.
