I couldn't find a ghost ring version, at least not at the price I paid. I had considered them though and handled a few ghost ring equipped pumps and can understand their usefulness. I didn't plan on using this gun with slugs, at least not at long range.
I just checked and the receiver is...
After reading the posts again, I'd thought I'd respond in more detail to a few comments.
I was having fun. It's okay to have fun. Also, you read some of that post but apparently didn't finish it which makes me chuckle. In fact I doubt most of the posters here read much of what I said which...
I figured since the 930 is a semi-auto people might want to know how it performs since semi-autos have a reputation for being less reliable/versatile than pumps. That's why I started the topic. I didn't realize how much uproar the word, shottie, would cause though and that the uproar would...
Well, Arthur Conan Doyle didn't visit thehighroad.org either but that's not going to stop me! :neener:
rcomdel, let me point out that I spelled shottie with an -ie not a -y. Shottie shall be an informal term for a shotgun. Used in a sentence: You need a shottie to ride shotty.
jim243, I...
1goodshot, sorry to hear you're having problems. I fired 55 rounds through mine this afternoon, no FTF's or FTE's. I shot the following:
20 rds Estate 3in 1 1/8 oz. #4 birdshot
10 rds military 00 buck
5 Remington #4 buck
10 rds Winchester Super Target Xtra-lite Target Load 2 3/4" 1 oz. #9...
I've been wanting a shotgun for myself, for fun and self defense. I decided, after handling my mom's very nice Benelli semi-auto and my step-dad's pump, that I wanted a semi-auto. Blasting a tube full of 12ga shells as fast as I could pull the trigger just made me giggle like a fool.
Since I...
Well, I picked up the H&R .410 today for $149. It looks nice, picked up 4 boxes of 7 1/2 shot too. It'll be put to work this weekend defending the house from the chipmunk insurgency.
I've been thinking of buying a Pardner .410 for myself and my little brother to pop chipmunks and other highly dangerous animals around the garden. My little brother is 10 and already has a Marlin .22 semi-auto which he handles pretty well. Ranges are out to 15 yards at most. I'm planning to use...
I like AR pattern rifles but if I were going to get a semi-auto .308 I'd go for a M1A. I think they look great and there's some good history behind the design. An AR-10 wouldn't be my first choice. I'd add an AR-10 after getting an M1A at any rate. Otherwise I think they're fine rifles.
I haven't found any results on https://www.revisor.leg.state.mn.us/ for steel core ammunition or armor piercing ammunition. I have bought steel core Czech surplus 7.62x54R from a Minnesota shop. Not sure if that means it's legal or not since the box was blue with no writing on it. The bullet...
That's gotta be one of the best puns I've ever read. Sounds like some good legislation, if it passes I'll be interested to see what the Feds think about it since it would free Montana from the NFA.
I think it's pretty amazing the bullet came back along the same path. What range was he shooting at? Double that, throw in a deformed bullet and a ground hit and it still hit a human head. A very accurate rifle.
I know my snubby .357 isn't easy for me to shoot magnums out of and my mom fired one magnum and decided that was enough. She didn't even like shooting .38's out of it. So, no, I don't think snubbies are girls' guns. Just because a gun is small doesn't mean it's for women.
