Best all around .30-06 on the market?

I vote for the 700, few bolt guns have as many aftermarket accessories and pre made stock options as a Remington does, Remington 700 triggers from the factory can be adjusted down under 3 pounds, far more adjustment than is needed for hunting. And if you want to you can take it to a gunsmith...

$199 Norinco SKS A Good Deal??

It is a little known fact that thread necromancer is one of the most overpowered cards in mtg, it has hidden trample, double strike, can be cast as instant and affinity for stupidity affect allowing it to be played for free.

Best all around .30-06 on the market?

With a few exceptions any facory bolt gun you buy today will deliver everything you need and more, the exceptions are the remington 710 (not 700 they are still great) and a few others. As for all around bolt gun thats a tough one, and depends on how much you are willing to spend

    good cheap scope?

i still say prostaff, had a 3-9 on a 10/22, and tossed it on a 7mm rem mag trying to break the damn thing to prove that nikon was crap, well the damn thing holds zero and the gun is shoting sub moa, I consider nikon to be one of the best scopes in its price bracket.

    Adjustable scope rings

step one find a new gunsmith. OK now that that is out of the way, you might be able to get enough adjustment between the scope and a set of the old Leopold adjustable bases that were made for scopes that had no adjustments ans can often be found in the lose parts bins in many shops, finding...

    good cheap scope?

Alright now that we have all had out fun flaming the poor guy I'm going to dose myself in gasoline. As far as cheap scopes go the only thing i ever had any success with was tasco, they work on a 22 most of the time.

Remington 700 .223 leaving bad brass scratch

ugh! now you have my mind trying to rap itself around this problem and find a solution! shining a flashlight from the back of the action and inspecting the chamber might shed some light on the issue, since you say it only happens with rounds in the gun and cycles fine when empty i would place...

    You guys seen this?

When it comes to guns the commies got one thing completely right Keep it simple stupid Adding a failure point to one of the most consistently dependable assault riffle on earth is a bad idea, no matter how cool it looks.

    Remington 511A value?

I wouldnt go over $80 on it if i was interested, book value for it in good condition is $112, and that one is not in good condition. it was made 1939-1962

Remington 700 .223 leaving bad brass scratch

Hmm now that sounds like an issue, not necessarily unsafe, but i would worry about how much that is crushing the brass, especially if you reload and use it in another gun repeatedly crushing the brass into the 700, then firing it in a gun with a loser chamber would put a lot of stress on the...

Remington 700 .223 leaving bad brass scratch

You probably have a tight chamber this is a good thing as long as it is not to tight, about how much force would you say is required to close the bolt?

$199 Norinco SKS A Good Deal??

When you work on guns on a daily basis you tend to get a feel for what works and what does not, norincos crappy manufacture or not, ugly or not have been in my experience a boatload less trouble and a lot more reliable than Yugo's. this could be as you say because of poor maintenance, but the...
