    NE Ohio gunsmith?

Bsctov- greetings to you as well. It would be hard for me to be 10 minutes south of anything, except Canada!!

    NE Ohio gunsmith?

This gun was designed as a sort of take-down gun. The pivot pin has a hinged head that swings into a pocket to lock it in place. I'll post a photo tonight. Bottom line is that the pin can only go in one position. I'll try the shim approach as well. However, this was my great-grandfathers...

    NE Ohio gunsmith?

Greetings! I've got an old Columbia single barrel 12ga that needs some help. It's a family heirloom, but still shoots well. The problem is that the tapered pin that holds the forend/barrel assembly to the reciever has worn to the point that there is noticable lateral play. Can anyone...

What's So Bad About External Extractors on 1911's?

Mostly a combination of "not what JMB wanted" and a bad experience with a run of Kimber 1911 with an external extractor. Seems like it was an isolated incident with Kimber, but a bad taste remains for some. YMMV

    shotgun slings?

I like the barrel clip, that was something I hadn't thought about. Not sold on the butt stock attachment. If I can't find the cuff style, maybe I'd go that route and install a rear swivel. Thanks for the lead! 'alp

    shotgun slings?

Greetings! This photo is not mine, but I want something like it (minus the ammo loops on the sling) for MY Rossi dogear: Can anyone point me in the direction to find such a thing? The photo was lifted from a dead sale link on another forum so thats of no help to me. Thanks! 'alp

    Rohrbaugh worth it?

Yes and no. As the others have said, it is EXTREMELY well made, very compact, and is 9mm. Pick up a half dozen recoil springs and it should last you the rest of your life. Get the R9s over the R9. The sights are minimal, but are there. I found I could keep it in the black on a B16 target...

Anybody have an opinion on the Win 37 for trapshooting? Looks pretty similar to what I was using...

    trapshooting gun opinions

I shot an 870 as well last weekend. I did OK with it too (maybe it was just a good weekend?). But pumps, me, and trapshooting don't seem to get along. I keep forgetting to rack the slide and get the famous "click - lost bird" call. I shot an 1100 (20ga) but didn't care for all the "stuff"...

    trapshooting gun opinions

20 per round is my Dad's standard at the home range. Not sure why, but he set the range up with four stations... What are the differences between the Bt100 and the Bt99? The rib on the 100 was too high for me and I kept fooling with all the adjustments rather than just shooting the darn...

    trapshooting gun opinions

Greetings! I've been interested in trapshooting for a few years now. It has been an expensive interest as I've tried several different guns to get the one that fit me. I've been through a Win 1300 20ga 24"(?), a FN TPS 12ga 18.5" (don't ask), a Browning Citori 20ga 28", and a Browning...
