Mostly a combination of "not what JMB wanted" and a bad experience with a run of Kimber 1911 with an external extractor. Seems like it was an isolated incident with Kimber, but a bad taste remains for some. YMMV

I like the barrel clip, that was something I hadn't thought about. Not sold on the butt stock attachment. If I can't find the cuff style, maybe I'd go that route and install a rear swivel. Thanks for the lead! 'alp

Yes and no. As the others have said, it is EXTREMELY well made, very compact, and is 9mm. Pick up a half dozen recoil springs and it should last you the rest of your life. Get the R9s over the R9. The sights are minimal, but are there. I found I could keep it in the black on a B16 target...

I shot an 870 as well last weekend. I did OK with it too (maybe it was just a good weekend?). But pumps, me, and trapshooting don't seem to get along. I keep forgetting to rack the slide and get the famous "click - lost bird" call. I shot an 1100 (20ga) but didn't care for all the "stuff"...
