I carry a Ruger LCR in a Desantis ankle rig with the support strap. The LCR is easier for me to carry with the crimson trace laser grips as they are a little smaller than the standard Hogues.
If they ever do make a double action revolver, I'm betting on a new version of the Magnum Carry. I love my D frames and would buy a new one in a second.
Ruger is a business. I think they will make a polymer revolver in any configuration they think they can sell. I would be surprised if we don't see longer barrels and larger frames.
I carry one of my colt snubbys IWB at about 4 o'clock. With the right holster and belt it's an easy carry and an untucked shirt or t-shirt covers it fine. I see no need for a smaller gun.

Recently purchased a Rossi 92 in 44 Mag. Ran about 30 rounds of 44 special through it. Cycled and fired fine no problems. And these Were Semi-Wadcutters which sometimes cause problems in lever guns.
I agree with CraigC. the .44 special Blackhawk and Vaquero is strong enough for the Elmer Keith load, which is a 150 grain SWC at 1200 fps.
He developed that load in Colt SAA's and S&W hand ejectors, the Ruger guns are stronger that either of those.

I've fired 300 Win Mags, 338's, a lightweight 375 H&H, and 12 gauge shotguns with plastic butt plates; but none of those kicked as hard as my Rossi 92 .454 Casull with heavy Buffalo Bore Ammo.
