I use one of these chucked in a Dremel:
Hold Dremel in left hand, put case on brush with right, give the case a twirl with your fingers and move to the next one. Takes less time to do than describe.
Some surplus ammo (the Czech silvertip comes to mind) is hard to extract after firing. It's not at all surprising that you wouldn't be able to chamber one of these. Don't worry about it and like the others said, don't chamber empties.

Buy the Mec-Gar. Mec-Gar is an OEM mag supplier for several companies, including SIG-Sauer. I've had no problems with a Mec-Gar mag for my P226, or one for an old P89 I used to have.
