    Elderly Colt

ve almost the same gun, Colt Police positive special in 32 S&W long. Nice & tight. I shoot it regularly Have a lifetimes worth of ammo. Wife likes it, She doesn't like recoil AT ALL!! & doesn't care for the report of a 22 mag ( as an indoor gun, who would? Stays in a dresser draw oiled , loaded...

    Old Fuff has passed away

Don would be honored & humbled by the kind words here. He didn't shoot much his last few years but man, could he talk. I'd known him 20 + plus years at his passing. He'd been a friend, mentor & a teacher to me & a Grampa Don to my kids. Anytime I wanted some piece of gun related information all...

    Misuse of ARS 4-2229

Singage stipulatins If any such sign were to b a "reasonable request" then a simple "I don't trust you to be armed" sign of any reasonable size and configuration would be enough, regardless of any other requirement.

    Misuse of ARS 4-2229

A couple three years ago, Arizona began allowing concealed firearms in bars and alcohol serving restaurants providing an approved sign wasn't displayed disallowing it. Of late, I've been seeing this sign on other establishments. At first it was doctors offices and most recently a pawn shop...

Ricochet target shooting off of water

While a member of the NSSA (North South Skirmish Assoc.) back in the early to mid 70's I was told of a game the cannoneers used to play "in the old days". Seems they would anchor beach balls in a lake, a line of three or four for each team, and the goal was to sink your line in the shortest...

    .22 Revolver

I don't know why the hate for Taruas. I've got a I think, a 941. small frame 22 mag. Eight shot, the LR is 9. I put a Wolf trigger return spring in it, I couldn't replace the mainspring & get reliable ignition, cleaned up the triger surfaces & have a beutiful shooting gun. BTW, I replace both...

    >357 Win 92 Copy by Rossi

I'd have preferred a 16, as well. This nearly new, in the box, with papers, fired less than a box, at less thn half the price of new quelled any apprehension about the 4 extra inches of barrel.

    >357 Win 92 Copy by Rossi

As far as what do I want to use it for? Don't really know. I've wanted one for years & couldn't justify it because of my other rifles. I've always thought it would be a handy, larger than 22 or 22 mag, off season walkabout rifle. I moved to Az 15 or so years ago & started my ventures into...

    >357 Win 92 Copy by Rossi

I just picked up a very gently used 92 Win copy by Rossi in >357 Mag. Any thoughts on this cal from a 20" barrel? I've never been a big fan of 357 though I own & shoot several. I was looking for a 92 copy in .44 mag when this came up at a price I couldn't refuse

    Firing without hearing protection?

First, I don't believe I've ever "heard" a shot taken at game. Second, in reference to the paossible damage done, I had what IIRC is called an Aural Neuroma. The nerve to one of my ears has pyisically diconected. While, with reasonably good hearing in both ears, I alwaywore plugs or muffs, I was...

How do I remove bolt from 541-t?

On the Rem 521; Open the bolt, pull & hold the trigger, put the bolt out. You may need to raise the rear site. On mine. the bolt handle hits the horizonal leg of the rear site. I'm assuming its got a peep?
