I do not own a 783, but have sighted in 3 different 783s. Two in 30-06 and one in 308. They all shot about one inch groups at 100 yds. All functioned fine, about what you would expect in a budget rifle. Stay away from the scoped combos, the scopes are about the worst I’ve seen.

I guess what I am trying to ask is with the scope mounted this high is the bullet still rising at 100 yards, and if I sight in dead on will the bullet rise way above POA past 100 yards?

It think they are P series Nixon ring and base combos. They are a little higher than see through rings for hunting rifles

It is a basic M4 style flat top .556. I am not use to a scope being this high above the bore. How do yall sight in at 100 yards. Most shots will be under 200 yards.

Have shot 2 boxes of 170 gr.. Accuarcy is on par with Rem. and Win.. The only thing I have shot with them is a coyote, at close range where any thing would have done the job.
