    Need help Tokarev-30 owners!

The new PPU hollow points do work and quite well. 1.5x dia expansion and well over 12 inches of penetration in gel.

    Gunbroker seller not responding

By "his time" I'm talking about communication. I don't have concerns he'll sit on shipping something for weeks because it's too inconvenient.

    Gunbroker seller not responding

Finally got in touch, just had to be extra persistent with my calls as he clearly wants to do everything on his time, but that doesn't work for me.

    Gunbroker seller not responding

Won auction on Mon, seller is closed Tuesday, have sent email every day to seller and called today (left message) and still not heard back from seller. I was going to pay by check or money order, but I'm starting to suspect this seller is unavailable due to an emergency, so what more can I do to...

Thoughts on .36 caliber 1858 repros?

I was not aware that Pietta made a target .36 NMA. Does it have adjustable sights?

    Self-Defense Ammo for Glock 42

I don't have a test, but if I did wood and sheet metal are poor substitutes for bone and they would not be used. My point is if I'm using a short barrel .380 I prefer consistency without the danger of overpenetration and the Inceptor bullets give me that.

Lipsey special edition J frame in 38 and 32mag

I sent Taurus an email asking them to consider doing a modern update of the H&R Young America, but for .32 S&W Long. Taurus is like the Kel Tec for revolvers, they'll pretty much make anything that's a revolver if it's something outside the of the box, but further they're a large enough company...

Thoughts on .36 caliber 1858 repros?

When I first got into cap and ball revolvers about 10 years ago I didn't have much interest in the .36, but over time I've learned to appreciate that it gives me the same experience as the larger .44's do and at lower cost and less recoil. I have the Pietta 1851 and Uberti 1862, but I prefer...

    Self-Defense Ammo for Glock 42

I think wood and sheet metal is a stupid test regardless of the bullet or caliber being used.

Should I have passed on it?

I think the reason the 3 inch was so common was at that time conceal carry was more commonly done in a vest or coat pocket, not in a holster inside the waistband. It may have been that the longer barrel carried better in this method than a shorter one. We do know that 2 inch top breaks were...

    Self-Defense Ammo for Glock 42

This is my preferred .380 defense ammo because it doesn't use hollow points and will be consistent in penetration and performance for each shot. I would imagine it feeds better too. https://inceptorammo.com/product/inceptor-ammunition-380-auto-arx/

    LCRX 3 inch 38 - do you-?

Not at $700. You can get the 3 inch Taurus 856 aluminum frame for $325 online. Won't have adjustable rear sight, but you could buy two of them for the price of that one Ruger. I use to like the LCR back when the .38 was $350, but they're all $500 now for the base LCR's and if you want the LCRx...

    Help me diagnose an issue

I haven't tried dry firing it that much, but it hasn't had even a hint of it when I do dry fire it.

    Help me diagnose an issue

I did keep track of the chambers to see if it was repeating on one or two consistently, but it was random, so it's not any specific chamber or index point that does it.

    Help me diagnose an issue

Ok, I had a suspicion being dirty could be the issue. I didn't clean the chambers or any part of the revolver before shooting and given the carbon on the front of the cylinder it had been test fired at the factory who knows how long ago. I'll clean it good and try again.
