    My take, as an instructor with knowledge of the FCCA law and JCAR rules governing it, is that is a legal sign, thus Walmart is a prohibitted location. That is not their intent, but that is the result.

    appleseed for first rifle experience?

    I much prefer the Marlin 795 over the 10/22. It doesn't have as many accessories as the 10/22, but it's getting better. It's much cheaper and easier to use too. Just my 2 cents.

    What is the task? Choose the right tool for the given task. Using a pair of pliers to hammer a nail in is stilly. Smiliarily a 3-9X40 scope on something you'll shoot 200m or less is silly (to me anyway). What distances do they plan on shooting at? Is this to be a tack driver, a range...

    I don't like it either. I actually asked my legislators to vote against it, but I do think it better than a permit in NY, CA, and HI.

    Do searches daily on the internet, armslist (I know it's touchy), and gunbroker. I got a BCM EAG rifle for a steal. The LOWEST I've found them is $1,950 plus shipping and FFL transfer.....and I got mine for $1,400. They had one sitting on the shelf since April as they ordered a lot of ARs...

    I do find the M&P serrations to be better than those on a Glock.
