    Colt Diamondback 38 thoughts

What you do is search the ADVANCE tab of gun broker. See what Diamondback's in similar condition to the one @ the LGS are selling for. Reject the lucky one who got a gun on the cheap, and the one who paid through the keister. Find the Average price and print out a few. Take it to your LGS and...

    .45AutoRim: The Great Survivor

kabob, You should have got the gun, and slept in the Tack Room for a bit. S&W made a run of the same gun in .44 Special (different wood grips) the Thunder Ranch special. Man they are sweet! Even w/ transfer fees, I got it home for just under $600.00 I have never had a S&W w/ MIM Parts fail...

    S&W 625-3 new to me

Well done! These (especially in 4") are getting hard to find. You paid fair market. In 2 years it'll be worth $1,100.00 I have a 5", it's a dream to shoot. Where else can you buy something, use it, keep it clean, and in 2 years sell it @ a profit, or @ least break even?

    Ruger GP100 10-shot 22 Acquired

Thanks guys. John, I agree. The DA hammer strike is definitely lighter than the SA hammer strike. So, I am hesitant to change the spring. If I change it, I'll do it @ the range so I can switch it back if required.

    Need help with a Diamondback

The: Refusing to "split them up" is often used by widows. A fellow Passed on. The widow wanted to be shut of her late husband's Winchester 52E and 94/22. A guy only wanted the 94/22. She pulled the: "I refuse to split them up, I want to be done with them. Buy...

    GP100 10-Shot 22 Range Report w/ Pics

Okay, so the wind wasn't howling this morning, of course there's almost no such thing as No-Wind here, but it was tolerable. Recap on the gun: I installed the lightest (9#) trigger return spring from the Wolf spring kit. I polished hammer spring strut, and paid particular attention to the...

    Ruger GP100 10-shot 22 Acquired

I bought the GP 100 22LR from the LGS. :t It was tagged for $749.99. I looked on completed GB auctions, figured in what a transfer fee would be and made the shop my offer. I got it OTD for my offered price of $675.00 :) I did some reading on the GP100 action/lock works. I ordered a...

    .45AutoRim: The Great Survivor

I have fired my S&W 1917, 37 Brazilian, 1955 (1982 production and 5"full lug Model of 1989 (1989 production) w/o clips and using ACP Brass. Everything has been 100% surfire. I only load cast bullets. For AR brass, or ACP Brass to be used in clips I crimp w/ a Redding Profile crimp die.

.45 ACP Charter Arms PITBULL may be on its way

Is the reason you want the Charter due to smaller size, concealability? S&W has been making uber accurate, 45ACP / 45AR Wheel guns for almost 100 years.

    Perfect "Camp and Trail revolver?"

rcmodel...NICE! Interestling enough, I have a 38/44 HD, one of the 6500 post-war transitionals that was cut from 6.5 to 4". The job looks like it was done by S&W. I too think it was a Highway Patrolman's gun. It came w/ S&W grip adapter. My first pick: S&W 15-3...bless my shakey old...

    Perfect "Camp and Trail revolver?"

rcmodel, Are you saying you actually have one of the uber rare, non-cataloged 5" 1950 adjustable sight .44 special S&W guns? I would sweep out your garage just to gaze upon it! ;) Oh yeah, trail gun... Depends what kind of dangerous critters are in the area. The 2-legged are usually the...
