The ergonomic grip sold me on the XD. I owned a 9 and a 45. My inability to get as good of groups with either XD compared to Glocks or 1911s caused me to sell both XDs. I put enough rounds downrange. Just never could warm up to them.

I doubt there's a fundamental accuracy difference between these calibers. I bet some of the high end competition Sigs in 9mm would hold their own against similarly priced semi-custom 1911s in .45.

With modern ammo .45ACP doesn't have enough ballistic advantage over 9mm to justify the much higher ammo costs, recoil, gun size/weight and other associated disadvantages. For many shooters, 9mm is arguably superior to all the service rounds since it's practice ammo is so much cheaper. This...

I like Dr. Paul's stance on guns and less government intrusion, but I can't go along with his foreign policy ideas. I also have a hard time seeing Dr. Paul as a strong, assertive leader. Maybe he'd surprise me, but I don't think so. Gotta go with Thompson if he runs, Hunter if he doesn't.
