    Winchester Owners Forum

I registered on the Winchester Owners forum about a week ago. I received an email which indicated that new accounts are activated by an administrator and that I would be notified when that happened. No notice yet, so I attempted to log in and received an error message about the account not...

Revolver cartridge carbines - A why don't they thread

I really hate to be "that guy", but I just have to in this case. Robert Moses Browning was an English poet. I think you were referring to John Moses Browning. Other than that, I have to agree with you. The Winchester '92 is a great choice in a pistol caliber rifle.

    Old School Original Scout Rifle

I have a rifle that fits most of the PScout description. Where it falls short is the fact that it lacks an optic. My PScout is a sporterized (before I traded for it) '03 Springfield. This rifle has a Redfield aperture rear sight, with 1/4 MOA adjustments and a hooded Lyman bead front sight...

    Kiss rifle pic thread

For me, it would have to be one of these two. Which one, would depend upon my AO. For my current location (central Indiana), it would be this. A Rossi in .45 Colt. In the mountains, I'd go with this. A sproterized (by a previous owner) '03 Springfield in 30-06.

Thoughts on the Uberti clone of a Winchester 73

Here are a two photos of my Uberti '73 that I've had since the Fall of 1996. It's chambered in .44WCF. While this rifle has had a few boxes of the Winchester cowboy loads, 90 to 95 percent of the rounds fired through it have consisted of a compressed charge of GOEX 3f behind a 200 gr...

Question about shooting a scoped rifle

You are correct, the bullet does not rise above the bore axis. Actually, the graphs are also accurate. When you sight in your rifle, you are setting your sights so that the axis of the bore is aligned above the target. Lets ignore the curvature of the earth and assume a perfectly level...

finally got citizenship after 11 years

First; thank you Sir for your service, and congratulations on the Citizenship. I have two recommendations for your "Citizenship Gun". If you have any interest at all in muzzleloaders, you would be well served by choosing a custom flintlock American Longrifle (AKA a Kentucky or Pennsylvania...

Do you ever "make" someone carrying? Let's experiment.

At work earlier today, I spotted a guy with a rather large bulge under his t-shirt at his right hip. It was about the size and shape of a holstered 1911. I work behind a parts counter and spot an average of two a month, not counting friends or customers I know to be LEOs. Vernon
