Cheap alternative for custom fixed AR stock.

Tirod I can appreciate what you're saying, but to me there is also a point of being to short and I like having the rock solid feel of a fixed stock. I spent 6 years in the Marines, 12 years and counting at the local Police Department, the past 10.5 years on the SWAT Team, and am currently an...

Cheap alternative for custom fixed AR stock.

I don't know. I am only 5'7" with I would say short arms and even I needed have a longer length of pull. I don't like my nose touching the charging handle.

Cheap alternative for custom fixed AR stock.

Long story short, decided I wanted a fixed stock on my AR. I decided on a Magpul Fixed Carbine stock. Problem is, it was a touch too short. You had to push it all the way forward so the tension screw would go past the buffer tube rail. The stock only ran $30 at Academy. The full length fixed...

Ruger Scout .308 at the range today, very impressed.....

I think along the same lines. Truth be told the only reason I purchased it was because I found it used at the local gun shop. A buddy that works there said a guy traded it in because he was only able to get a 4" group out of it. Bad for him but lucky for me because I only paid $600 out the door...

Ruger Scout .308 at the range today, very impressed.....

It's called a Troy Claymore Muzzle Brake, but it's name is deceiving. It is actually more of a linear compensator (only ported out the front). Due to it's design it sends the percussion and sound down range away from the shooter and people near the side of the shooter. The flash hider that came...

Ruger Scout .308 at the range today, very impressed.....

OK first let me start by saying that I know that mounting a high powered scope on a Ruger Scout rifle is not what it was designed for. However, with that said it sure holds its own with any rifle I've ever shot. Anyways, got my Bushnell 4200 2.5-10x50mm mounted on it this morning and headed...

Cleaning rifle with muzzle brake question......

This is a good picture to show what I mean

Cleaning rifle with muzzle brake question......

No don't get me wrong, I've never cleaned form the muzzle ever. Always from the breech using a bore guide. I guess the main concern is when I run a wet patch through the bore with my spear point some of the cleaner would be left inside the compensator with no way of really getting it out, except...

Cleaning rifle with muzzle brake question......

Sorry not to post that as well but that was also another question. Is there any reason to take it off? I just don't know truth be told if eventually there would be any change in accuracy say from carbon collecting near the crown.

Cleaning rifle with muzzle brake question......

Long story short, I have a Ruger Scout with a Troy Claymore Muzzle Brake (it's name even though it's more a linear compensator). Anyways I ran a good amount of rounds through it at the range. Just wondering, if you have a muzzle brake/compensator that uses a crush washer do you replace the crush...

Current production Remington 700s and Winchester model 70s

I actually just got mine up and running. For right now it has a 3-9 x 40 Nikon Prostaff on it (kinda defeats the purpose of the rifle but will have to do until I get the funds to set it up with an Eotech with a magnifier). Anyways with that said, this thing shoots OUSTANDING. Here's a pic of my...

Ruger's Customer Service has won a customer for life...........

I hear you. When I first spoke to the lady before shipping, after she gave me the RMA she was asking me what the best way to briefly describe what I did because she had to put a note with the RMA. I told her to write "an idiot with a drill bit removed metal that shouldn't have been removed". She...
