    Uncle Mike´s or Fobus?

The first holster I had for my CZ was a Fobus. For me it did not work well at all, got rid of it as fast as I could. On the web check Kramer it's where the CZ rides now and I have had no problems with it at all. If you are interested in a kydex holster rather than leather take a look at...

Looking for shooting glasses with prescription insert

I use the ESS with insert also, got them for the same reason you talk about the interchangeable color lenses. They work very well and don't cost any thing like some of the others. Only cost me something like $40. to have the inserts made. Plus they are very comfortable which does count. Jack

    CZ SP01/CZ75B?

my CZ85 has 3000 rounds through it using stock springs, and I've had no problems what so ever. Plus, in my hands, it is every bit as accurate as any pistol I own all of which cost more, some up to 4 times more. YMMV jack

CZ owners... how do you like them.

Have an 85 Combat that is as accurate and reliable, if not more so, as any pistol I own. At a lower cost than any of the others too. Many thousand rounds with no malfunctions. Carry holster is from Kramer, very good work, holds this full sized pistol well enough that ccw is never a problem...

Which High End Autoloader would you choose?

you said high end and list a bunch of mid pack guns??? the only thing you have even approaching high end is the Sig's and maybe the HK. don't get me wrong you have several good reliable pistols there just not really what I call high end. Jack (Just my 2 cents and worth every penny)

What is the most dead solid reliable pistol (autoloader) design ever?

Well I guess that something can be said for the CZ. In the army tests that produced the Beretta the comparitor was the CZ, however it was not in the running as it was a "communist block" pistol. Col. Cooper called it the best 9mm service pistol in the world. Testing for the new P-01 was...

which 9mm for newbie to idpa?

one other thing about the CZ's they also make a model that is SA only, this is ,from my understanding, the type that many of the top CZ competition shooters use. While the CZ's are not seen extensively in the US, internationally you see a lot of them. At the last IPSIC worlds CZ placed 2 guns in...

    cheap Double barrel for CAS

Just starting in cas I would advise to look more to the hammerless guns. You have a steep enough learning curve without adding cocking your shotgun. There are several well reguarded SxS for aspiring cas shooters to look at. My first choice is the Steoger a solid gun and easy to get to work and...

    Customizing a NM Ruger Blackhawk?

All that I have done to mine for function was to change all the springs to Wolfe, and fill the hammer & sear area with toothpaste and dry fire a few thousand times. Polishes up and smooths the action quite well. Washes out easy too. As to feel I thought that the balance was a little off D/T the...

Question on manufacturing status of Uberti

There are 2 more made in the U.S. Freedom Arms makes a very high quality SA, at a corrosponding price. STI in Texas is starting production of a SA called the Texican, again very high quality priced in line with a Colt. This is a very good time if you like SA's. :D Jack

My First Handgun -- Kimber - Is it worth the money?

Yep my Tactical is a little older, the new ones have the internal extractors. I just havn't had any problems with mine. As to recoil I don't notice any diffrence between the Tactical and my all steel framed guns. It does carry lighter though. Jack

My First Handgun -- Kimber - Is it worth the money?

I have a Kimber Tactical Custom II with the external extractor and have had no problems what-so-ever. That is not to say that some folks have not had them, but it does seem blown out of proportion. I have found it to be very reliable and accurate, and appreciate the reduced weight of the alloy...
