Thanks for the tip. I've seen these at midway several times and wondered about them.

I have had no problems at all with kydex holster appendix carry... with a Ruger LCP or a 3" 1911 in 45 and 9mm. If you have your belt snug, as is required, you won't have any problems... at least I haven't.

I'd also suggest the Letter turret press, their carbide dies (no lubricating cases), and the Lee second edition reloading manual.

I'm building a AR-15 and will start with a 223 Wylde barrel. I'm thinking down the road and wondering who has shot the 458 socom and what did you think? Accuracy? Recoil? Other impressions. Thanks!

A few years ago, I was able to check 3 high-end full-size 1911's side-by-side: Ed Brown, Les Baer, Wilson. I would have chosen the Wilson.

I believe IF the serial number is on the slide, that is the "gun" so you couldn't trade slides. If the serial number is on the frame, you should be good to go for anything the manufacturer says will fit on your frame. A sad fellow Californian

I have a CDP Ultra in 45 acp. I love it! I got a Pro CDP first and loved it. I now carry the Ultra regularly. It's accurate and reliable. Follow the usually recommended break-in period and enjoy. I replaced the night sights because Kimber sights don't shoot to point-of-aim for my eyes...

I've had a 1895 GS (stainless) for several years. It had a ported barrel. I had Marlin replace the barrel last year because the old one wouldn't group any ammo of any kind in any way, and leaded horribly no matter what I did reloading-wise. They didn't have ported stainless any more and...
