How respectable is my gun colllection?

Good practical stuff. Personally, I'd add a .22 auto (perhaps a Ruger MKII) for range practice and a S&W Airweight .38spl for concealed carry when the XD40 is too large for concealment.

Ruger countdown here we go again

I lost interest in Ruger's new product developments quite some time ago.

Considering Moving to North or South Carolina.. Need Some Advice

I moved to Charleston, SC a couple of years ago from Alexandria, VA. The summers are comparable but the winter weather is much, much better in Charleston. Here are a couple of thoughts: - There's a North Carolina and there's a South Carolina...but there is no such thing as "The Carolinas". The...

    ruger mk11 target pistol

I have two and think they are great. I much prefer the MKII over the current MKIII.

Sig Sauer 250......How long until its discontinued ?

It is my understanding that the primary marketing intent for the Sig P250 is for countries with gun ownership restrictions that limit the number of firearms. Obviously, the concept of modular handguns isn't new. Heckler & Koch introduced the HK4 in 1967. In essence, the HK4 was a Mauser HSc...

    Compact Glock .45?

For a "compact" .45acp....what's wrong with the G36, G30, or the G30sf? BTW, you got a great price on the G26 - it is my favorite Glock.

    Best 9mm Subcompact

I've carried quite a few different pistols and revolvers as concealed personal defense handguns. My two favorite pistols for this application are the Glock 26 and the Sig P239 SAS DA/SA in 9mm. IMO, working out an effective method of carry is as important as the selection of the handgun...

    Gun snob recommendations

I've seen some very low prices on used Stoeger Cougars. They are basically the same handgun that Beretta made - only now made in Turkey on the equipment supplied by Beretta. Personally, I prefer the Cougar over the Beretta model 92.

    Glock Night Sites

I have Meprolights on my Glock G26 and G19. I've tried others and prefer the Meprolights. I especially don't like XS Big Dots and think Trijicon should do something about the affect solvent has on the white rings around the light tubes.

    Input for sub compact .40

I'd go with the Glock. My G26 has become my favorite EDC.

    New 220

Before going ballistic with Sig, I suggest having one or two other people shoot the gun - as confirmation of the problem. Then, I'd go ballistic with Sig.

    Glock 26 CCW holster ideas?

I've concealed-carried for a number of years and managed to fill up a rather large box with holsters. The best holster I've found for my Glock G26 is a RM Lowrider IWB kydex holster. It works great in a 2 o'clock appendix position - provides quick weapon access even when seated or driving. I...

Ruger MkII SS 6" taper bbl price check

It's a reasonable price even with the engraving. IMO, the MKII is a much better pistol than the MKIII. I have a blue MKII with a six-inch tapered barrel and the drop-in Volquartsen trigger kit (extended bolt release, target hammer, target sear, target trigger w/ overtravel screw, return trigger...

    Cz-75

Although they're a tad rough on the inside (i.e., tools marks), I think the CZ-75B is a pleasure to shoot. For $449 - you got a reasonable price.

    Trigger job on Ruger 22/45?

I have the Volquartsen drop-in trigger kit (extended bolt release, target hammer, target sear, target trigger w/ overtravel screw, return trigger plunger spring and polished plunger) in one of my MKII Target models. The trigger is quite crisp and has a pull of approximately 2.25 - 2.50 pounds...
