I've narrowed it down to two

Climbnjump: I thought I had made my decision but your reply has caused me to pause a minute. Now I'm wondering if the Shield really does conceal all that much better. Maybe I need to make a trip to the LGS and see if they'll let me strap them both on. Maybe I should just get 'em both :-)

I've narrowed it down to two

I think y'all just saved me a hundred bones. I liked the idea of using the same holster and the ability to use the 17rd mags in the c. That said, the whole point is to buy a gun that I'll carry. It seems more likely that I'd carry the Shield. With the c, I'm afraid it would end up in the safe...

I've narrowed it down to two

This is a not a M&P 9c vs Shield 9 discussion. I know the specs and the difderences. What I need is advice based on my two other carry pieces. I have an M&P 9FS which carries great in the cooler months. In the summers I've been pocket carrying a M&P Bodyguard (the new one with no laser). I...

M&P Bodyguard is on the way to FFL. I'll let you know how I like it.

What should really be done about gun violence in the US?

I think the way young boys are raised in today's world plays a major role in this discussion. 50 years ago boys were raised to be men. They were taught hard work, respect, self reliance, accountability and that actions have consequences. Boys were given responsibilities at an early age and...

I had a what? Mods please help

Sir, good luck in your recovery. When I was in elementary school (early 90's) our beloved janitor (he was young) had a major stroke. It took a while but I ran into him when I was in high school and he seemed good as new to me. With yours being minor, I have complete faith you'll be back to...

    Dry Fire Practice

Much easier than trying to find that little hole in a piece of paper. Metal targets are fun!

    Dry Fire Practice

I've not been able to get much real shooting in lately so I've been dry firing more than usual. I know it's not the same, but at least I'm working on trigger control. How often do y'all dry fire practice.

If you combine multiple vendors into a single building the odds go up. My logic any way. More likely, I'll spend $12 to fight a Disney World type crowd for a couple hours and leave empty handed.

Nation's Gun Show in Chantilly, VA

Yeah I've been looking online here and there. I've been trying to avoid the Hazmat fees but it might just be time to bite the bullet. I have off the Friday it starts so I might try to be there right at the opening bell.

Nation's Gun Show in Chantilly, VA

Has anyone been to a recent gun show at the Dulles Expo Center? I was out last year at the peak of the scare and there was very little to be had at a reasonable price. I'm trying to get my hands on some powder for 9mm and 223 rem (which I haven't been able to find in Northern VA or elsewhere...

    I can't take it anymore...so I started a blog

Thanks for the comments. Like I said, this is my first time so I'm taking no offense at all. I appreciate the time you took to read it. Maybe I'll break it into parts. I'll work on the grammar as well.

    I can't take it anymore...so I started a blog

Hey folks, I've been reading this forum daily for quite a while now. I've posted a few questions here and there. I can't take it anymore. I've got some things to say so I started a blog. My first post is titled "Teeth of Liberty" and explores the 2nd amendment in the context of the time...
