More reliable Remington or colt cast your vote n tell why

Driftwood: late question but do you have much problem keeping your Remington conversions running shooting black powder loads? I understand the cap and ball versions get crudded up quickly and don't want to turn.

    Gun stuff

Knee or hip replacement? My wife has had both knees replaced and each time they sent her home the same day. Be sure to do the rehab physical therapy religiously otherwise the surgery is for naught. If it is a hip they say recovery is easier. Prayers for a fast recovery.

I have everything from cheap NRA giveaways to CRKTs, Spidercos, Bucks, Benchmades, ZTs and even the Buck 110 he carried in nam...

Lateral movement to escape line of fire

It would seem prudent, that if you decide to move laterally, that you move toward your dominant (gun) side. Otherwise an off center hit could disable your draw and ability to return fire.

Guns You Should Have Bought When You Had The Chance, And Now Regret Not Buying

My son bought three of the Swedish Mausers back then. He sold one to me for my wife and he eventually sold the 2 that he had. (not a smart move) My wife will not make the same mistake; hers is all numbers matching, including the barrel bands, I recently saw its twin in a LGS priced at $1K.

I had one 1911 that gave me hammer bite and a few judicious strokes with a fine file and a little cold blue and no more hammer bite.
