    .44 mag --> .45LC Redhawk or S&W Mod 629 conversion

    The current SW 625 is chambered in .45ACP. I want a .45Colt Redhawk or a 625. There are usually a couple of Redhawks on Guns America at any given time. I would have on if I was not currently unemployed. :rolleyes:

    Who makes the best Garand replacement stock / Why?

    I purchased the replacement stock from CMP when I bought my Greek Garand. It is very nice, even with no additional finishing on the stock. I had to do a little trimming to get the trigger assembly to lock in tightly but nothing special. Then I took my old stock and cleaned it in the...

    Dangnabit! You lever guys just confuse me.

    Winchester Model 94's require a "full bodied" movement to the action. They are easy to short stroke and not work properly. Also consider the EMF and/or Puma Model 92's. Or the ones from Cimarron. The Model 92's are more designed for pistol caliber rounds and are very nice. And if you want...

    Ruger New Vaquero VS Ruger New Model Blackhawk

    I did search but... Can someone describe the difference between the <old> Blackhawk and the New Blackhawk? There are still some Blackhawks around. I would rather have a Redhawk in .45Colt but a Blackhawk will be easier to find and less expensive. Thanks

    Crossbreed or High Noon anyone?

    I have w Split Decisions. One for my J-frame and one for my Taurus PT-145/PT111s. The J-frame fits lower in my waistband than the semi-automatics. Regardless, it is a very effective holster for me. Today it is over a tee shirt and under my sweater. I do not like to wear it without an...

    J Frame grip pics:Hogue vs. Taurus stock

    Stock grips on a SW J-frame and a Taurus small frame (Model 85) are BOOT grips designed to be small and unobtrusive. the Hogue's you show are COMBAT grips and provide a better handhold situation but reduce the concealability a small amount. There are nice wood grips that are combat grip size...

    Marlin 336: A v. C

    Another difference is that the 336A had a walnut finished hardwood stock and the 336C has a walnut wood stock. And the 336C is available in a cool caliber - .35 Remington

    J Frame Tune Up

    HSMITH, IT may have been that J-frames were at one time srpung the way you describe, but my newest 431PD came with VERY definite "lawyer" springs in it. It was the worst, hardest trigger that I have ever pulled. I replaced the hammer and trigger springs with medium Wolff springs and it is...

    Anyone shot a Taurus 4410?

    I have some bird shot and some slugs in 2 1/2" and I believe that S&B have .410 in 00Buck.

    Anyone shot a Taurus 4410?

    I am pretty sure that the pistol is NOT designed for 3 inch shells.
