I need a new step to my process...

Before I trusted the chargemaster, I would calibrate it with the 2 50g weights it came with, then check a dispensed charge against another digital scale I had which used 10g weights for calibration. I still calibrate the chargemaster every time I turn it on, after letting it sit for half an hour...

    Pay it Forward in Reloading

It's at least 290 bullets. My bad. I dunno what coated SWC might be, but if they're not happy going 1500+ feet per second and/or don't have a cannelure, I probably don't want them. You can still have the bullets, though. PM me a shipping address. I could really use some thin sheet metal, kydex...

Shining a Light on One Cause of Pistol Inconsistency

I had a great day today after a not so good one. Maybe it was just YOU, and by the time you got to the 115s you got used to the gun and shot better with it?

    Thanks to you all!

I have a Lee breech lock with the quick change bushings and all. Swapping dies takes < 5 seconds. I dunno how a turret press would speed things up appreciably. I'm eyeing the 1050 with an automatic bullet feeder... For the price of a nice rifle, I could load cases of ammo in a day. I...

Should be fine with a spacer, all other things being equal.

    454 or 45 Colt?

In either case, reloading both cartridges with the same dies is going to require some fidgeting which will change the settings and require adjustments every time you want to change cartridges. Primarily with flaring, bullet seating, and crimping. That being said, I believe you'd be able...

    Do or don't? 1st gen Colt 45

I think I just learned something. found some posts by driftwood talking about how to measure bc gap. cylinder forward, the gap is going to be between 3 and 5 thousandths. endshake then is between 0.0251 and 0.0249, respectively. the maximum gap is 0.0254" that is a pretty big gap...
