Thinking of sending a Garand to Eric for a work over.
Anyone have experience with him? Were you pleased with the end result? Would you do it again?
Rifle needs a new barrel so I am looking at the 2K plus new barrel fee. Just trying to figure out if it is worth the price or if I should...
I am one of these people.
I use Eezox with great success as a rust preventative. I keep a rag dampened with Eezox in a ziplock bag for quick wipe downs.
I have 1/2 x 1/2 on mine. I have never felt the need for 1/4 MOA adjustments. Once I think my rifle system and skills are up to 1/4 MOA precision, I may upgrade. Then again, I also use a USGI sling...
I have a Harrell and Lee perfect. I like the Harrell better because of the discrete adjustment. With a little practice on my technique I have been able to get very consistent throws. The lee is more diffict to adjust and just feels cheap (it is)
I have an RMJ Shrike and it is a nice piece of kit. It lacks the weight to be a good work tool but it would make an outstanding fighting tool. Like others have suggested, Gransfors Bruks makes some fine tools (expensive). Estwing is an inexpensive alternative.
Several companies are now making semi-auto rifles with M14 stamped on the receiver. Some are milled and some are forged. Only Springfield can use the M1A name so all others must use M14 or come up with something else.
